Romulus: Sweet, I'll bare that in mind. I can do low to high fantasy or post apocalyptic. I'm not doing WoD or anything with Vampires, Killer Robots, Ninjas or Zombies in... or a John Woo inspired game. Those bitches have turned more tricks than a whore on a submarine.
Any takers or themes you'd like?

Oh so the post apocalyptic elves & dwarves vs vampire killer robot ninja zombies is off then??
I'm fine with any of the major settings, base D&D, dragonlance, planescape, ravenloft, I'll give a go to any of the others as long as there's not too much assumed knowledge

lowyhong: I've always wanted to play D&D, but no one else around me wants to. Everyone's either caught up with Street Fighter IV, Killzone 2, some hawt PS3 game or DOTA :(

michaelleung: DOTA? All my friends play that, it sucks. I'll probably whoop their asses in Demigod...
Anyway, D&D really was one of those games you would be ashamed of playing. Do you really want people to know what you do in the basement?

It's better than bestiality [ : oB ]
I want post apocalypse, if you guys are serious about starting an RPG

Hey watch it, you never know if D&D is illegal in your country.
Quit going offtopic already and let's get a game started dammit! We're playing RPG, not TTG (Topple The Government)

Maybe we should play that instead.
A post apocalyptic game where a small group of rebels are fighting an oppressive government that's banned chewing gum, miniskirts and metal
So much hours playing D&D on my terrace... sigh...

Make that Mad Max 4.
I'd prefer forgotton realms or dragonlance, mad max was dull
I sad day indeed (although to me D&D died in 3.0, AD&D 2nd Core Rules ftw)
Planescape was my favorite setting, which coincidently died in 3.0.
ravenloft did too I seem to recall

Yup, along with Darksun, Spelljammer, Al-Quadin (sp?) and Birthright IIRC
Although Ravenloft was "bough" and brought to the Spells and Sorcery system.
Does greyhawk still exist?
So Romulus, if you do run it, how do you plan to do it? All the dice rolls GM side or trusting the players to be honest about reporting?
I'm thinking of using NWN to create the character, most of the online generators are crap or way too slow
