lugum: yet they cant make the trains ride with just 2 inch of snow.
Be lucky your railway requires 2 inches of snow before being disabled. Our "dear" SJ gets in a complete chaos as soon as the first flakes fall, and snow is hardly a rarity here (not that it's much less of a rarity for you).
Huh?
do these trains come with steam?

bazilisek: The other day, I took a train to Prčice. And I did not buy a ticket. Not because I couldn't but because I didn't want to.

bazilisek: Man, I hate ticket inspectors. You know what they do? They treat paying customers like criminals. I'm on a train, mate, why do you need to see my ticket? Of course I have one, otherwise I wouldn't be on a train, dimwit!
Ummmmmm, haven't you just proved otherwise?
So you like trains...Me too!

Still not sure if this thread is about a game or not.
I like trains and i do pay for my rides even though i can see why some chose not to pay. I don't agree with them but i get where they're coming from nevertheless.

When people express their concerns about how train companies propose to do business with train lovers, like myself, i keep earing the same argument over and over again, that train lovers should just forget each and every moral concern they may have in regards to train companies' business practices and focus solely on the enjoyment of the train rides.Actually quite recentky i have even seen someone go so far as propositioning that anyone who doesn't behave just like that is in fact a poser that doesn't actually loves train rides at all.

Now, It seems to me that that's exaclty what the people who chose not to pay for their tickets do, they are the true free spirits concerned with nothing but enjoying the train rides. After telling so many times to train lovers that they should let go of every moral concern they happen to have in regards to the general state of affairs people don't get to go "Hey, i told you to stop worrying about your moral concerns and simply enjoy the train rides but i obviously didn't mean for you to stop worrying about MY moral concerns."

I really don't agree with people who don't pay for their train rides and i have no use for their rationale but it's not like they don't have a few arguments of their own on hand, assuming we're really going by the "The only train thing that matters is MY train thing" which unfortunately seems to be indeed what most go by when train rides, and just about everything else, comes up as a subject.

So, don't worry about it too much i'd say. After all "You can quack it", which as we all know is the magical sentence that makes everything that is wrong or not as right as it could or should be in this rock ou ours simply go away, so don't worry about any of the moral 'fluff', because that's just silly not to mention that you may find yourself wearing the ´poser' hat courtesy of a 'free spirit' more 'free' than yourself, and simply enjoy your train rides, free or otherwise.
i like a well-maintained STEAM engine... if it's a nice train, i don't care what it's ORIGIN is. of course, i also enjoy riding in a GOOD OLD train every once in a while.

Yes, he's obviously a terrorist.
I don't like the way that the train-owners who run multiple steam trains monopolised the coal supply, creating a shortage for the rest of us.
I'm a little annoyed by the new trains that make you pay for extra things. I've already bought the ticket for the train, why should I have to pay extra for crisps?

bazilisek:
Is it really some kind of metaphor as others imply or is it about trains?
I am slightly confused here.

According to the World Intellectual Train Organization, railway operators are only entitled to enough money to lead a dignified existence, AND NOTHING MORE. Clearly they do, since they own a train.

Owning a train is the definition of a dignified existence. Don't let those government loudspeakers tell you any different.
