I had put Silent Storm Gold in the checkout box at $3.99 and then decided to find another game to buy. Spent about 1/2 hour doing that and settled on Nexus at $9.99. Well, during my deciding on which other game to buy the price on SS went back up to $9.99 so now I will buy neither game until SS is on sale again. I already own SS and just wanted Sentinels but am not paying $9.99 for just that.

I don't see the logic here (unless you pay a fixed transaction fee, in which case, use paypal). If you think 9.99 is a fair price for Nexus, it doesn't matter whether Silent Storm Gold is on promo or not.

No need to go ballistic. It is only 3-4 weeks untill Christmas promo starts.

The logic is that I came here specifically to buy SS and buying Nexus was just for the hell of it and I didn't really want it but deciding to buy that game screwed me out of the deal on SS so I left annoyed. Get it now or would you like a thesis on the subject?

This annoyance could have been avoided if there was a count down timer on the sale price. Like Gamersgate always has.

p.s. "Dammit to hell" is a reference to Jagged Alliance 2 and not because I was raging over my loss.

I'm pretty sure the War & Strategy games + Cryostasis sale had a countdown. I think It's the gem promos that don't have one.

You're correct. Any promo with a promo page (like this one), has a counter on the right side of the screen where we discuss all of the details of the promo. Only Gem Promos (because there's no separate promo page) don't have those.

Yeah, fro some time now sales have had coundowns, only individual games don't have them.

I think there should b e some timer in checkout, though.

Green Man Gaming has that. "We guarantee the price for 15 minutes after you put items in your basket". So even if I put an item 30 seconds before promo ends into the basket, I'd get discounted price.

It's a good thing, because there's no need to hurry with payment. And 15 minutes is short enough to avoid "indivudual promo extension" ;P

That is a nice feature they have, and it would be nice here too.

Also why not a countdown on each game page?
