since bethesda has already posted these two up for free on their websites, any plans to try to get them to allow you to release on here?

Free or not, GOG still needs the publisher's consent.

They're not completely free. While they might be free to end users, they have conditions attached to them. GOG is a commercial website. Every game on here, free or not, can bring in new customers. It's not too difficult to see why Bethesda might not be too happy about their games being hosted here without their consent.
Anyway, the games are free. You have means to download them. You don't need them to be hosted here. So I don't see the point in this.

The point as I would see it - If GOG can get the Publisher's Permission, they can get these to work on new machines (we would not have to follow the instructions Bethesda give) which for those of us who want to play games not make them work is a plus. They could also add content - manuals, clue books, soundtracks. I see it as a win / win. GOG does the work - Bethesda links to them from their site. More sales more interest in Bethesda.

It would ensure better out of the (DOS)box functionality. And it would help towards keeping all the old classic games in one place. But without a deal with Bethesda you're going to have to slum it.
Don't get me wrong, I can see how it would be good for GOG and the games themselves. But it's not the end of the world. While there are games that are completely unplayable/unobtainable out there this just seems fairly trivial.

I agree - in the grand scheme fairly trivial but if they could cut the deal with Bethesda for them it would be fairly easy to release.
the fact that me and dos box in the past have not gotten along the best also does not help matters at all.

There's a wrap for that! Preconfigured, DOSBoxed bundles are available on the other, other GOG: Link

Honestly if GoG.com should worry about getting any old Bethesda games working on normal systems it should be for Battlespire or RedGuard. Those two games are extremely hard to find and would generate a lot more sales.
The download link takes you directly to the Bethesda site - no prepackaged dosbox bundle ;-(

I'd actually like to see the Terminator series that they released way back when.
