So I feel I should act, not on behalf of the community (as it was the community that started the thread), but for the community. From that perspective it is quite selfish, I am acting to stop things getting worse.
Incidentally, acting simply involved sending a message to GOG, to make sure they couldn't deny knowledge of this thread. They already know it's here.
Also(imo)overall the forum is civil and quite well off......it doesn't seem to have descended to an overall state of crudeness to me yet. Just saying. Why does it seem that way to you from one(or a few thread(s)?
Also I don't believe people are posting to test the limits of the forum. Why do people always assume that?(With both some of my older threads and some of other people's threads) that that is people's intention? Why can't people just be posting for the sake of posting as they will for whatever other reason(good or bad)?
Also sometimes people NEED to be upset(like during an intervention or similar) IMHO........it depends on if the person doing the upsetting is doing it for good or bad though. If done for good then I approve, if not then I disapprove. Also sometimes people other than the target audience will be upset as well....this, sadly, will happen with a public forum. It isn't always a person's intent to upset others than the ones intended....it just sometimes happens.
