You appear to be correct, although I've never been aware of that definition here in Denmark. When people here talk of Scandinavia, they tend to use the "common English usage" mentioned on Wikipedia, so I suppose it's also a common Danish usage.

Well it's the same here, whenever someone says "Scandinavia" they mean all these countries, including Iceland and Finland. So it's a "accepted mistake" :)

Hehe, lots of goods are often manufactured in batches for all of "Scandinavia" (common usage), so instructions and lists of ingredients on various things bought here are usually printed in all the Nordic languages. I've often killed time in the shower by reading the shampoo ingredients in Finnish :-D
