jamyskis: It's around 4GB of downloadliness, so a stable connection is a bit of a must.

StingingVelvet: Constant infers more than that, but if that is what he meant okay.
UNLESS it was changed, Crysis for the console requires an active Internet connection to play on any game mode.

Article about it. According to the article the constant connection is only required if the game was downloaded on multiplayer 360s. So it probably wouldn't come into affect for a lot of people. No idea if you'd be able to deactivate a console in case it broke and you bought a new one or if you'd be stuck with always online at that point.

Oh, tried to do a quick search but didn't find anything. Guess I'll just go with the internet connection being required, not hard to believe. I think Capcom released some fighting game or something on PS3 that had that requirement.

Yeah the 360 online requirement when not on your home machine is normal. Dunno about PS3, but... I still find that hard to imagine. I dunno, you would know better than me I guess.

Anyway I can't imagine having JUST a PS3, how do you get by? They miss out on a lot of stuff.

I dont like Fable, Gears of War, Halo, and a lot of Xbox exclusive. Plus, they have PC versions.

nijuu: So i gather this is going to be a console port? Oh my if so how the mighty have fallen since the original came out...
We now live in a world where Monolith could come out tomorrow with Blood 3, Shogo 2, or NOLF3 and they'd end up being shoddy console ports with a 35 degree FOV hard locked to 30 fps. Sad, isn't it?

This man knows the future. Sadly it would be that way, indeed, just look at the progression of the FEAR titles.

Damn how would I love to play the 3 titles you mentioned.

To be fair, only FEAR 2 was actually developed by Monolith. The expansions and FEAR 3 (because I refuse to spell it "F3AR") were by Timegate and Day 1 Studios, respectively.

From the little I played of FEAR 2, however, it seemed like the action had been made less brutal and violent, and more slick and arcadey. Then there's also that typical Monolith thing, where they take what was a perfectly solid story and make it completely wacky with the sequel.

I'm not sure sad would be the word I would use... disappointing maybe. They can still be good games, Crysis 2 was still a good game, just not as good as it could have been if focused on PC.

But then can we really expect them to focus on a tiny portion of the market? We have to be realistic.
