Their earlier Lame Duck Challenge, which commemorated the departure of George W. Bush, was what got me into using CrossOver, and ultimately what brought me to GOG – the chaos that surrounded that giveaway apparently resulted in them having to buy new servers to replace the ones that got destroyed in the process.

Here's to hoping they learned from that last time and upgraded their hardware. :)

Oh yes, and to clear up any confusion in advance, Codeweavers is a direct corporate supporter of WINE development; money that goes into Codeweavers through sales and support of CrossOver goes directly into maintaining the WINEhq and AppDB, in addition to development of WINE itself. The fact that they're freely giving away their product is pretty awesome.

Edit: They haven't gotten to 100K yet, but they are close. Considering how nervous Mitt Romney makes me up here, I'm really hoping that more people come out and register to vote.

I know. US foreign policy affects our pushover government so completely we really should get to vote.

Just a bump to point out that they've decided that they hit their target. Although, I think there may have been some pledge stuffing around the office to get there.

Anyways, it's going to be free worldwide.
