Is anyone else still working on this,? lol
I spend a few more minutes on it with each clue. At this point, I don't know where to go. I seem to think the four is the number of characters that need changed ... so it is the direction things need to go?

Dunno.

csmith: ...
I did think also over four at start but now.. hmm.. I'm not so sure of that because I've found some other things - still missing "last piece" of this puzzle. :(

I think I understand the latest clue, but somehow I'm just not any closer to the solution.
According to

xyem: The code still hasn't been redeemed.. which I find quite surprising. I thought someone would have gotten it by now :P
and
avatar
xyem: I'm actually surprised this hasn't been cracked yet :/ I imagine there will be plenty of facepalms/headdesks when the solution is revealed!
and

xyem: It is. As I said, I think there will be a few sore faces and possibly broken hands/desks when the method is revealed.
it must be something really simple so maybe I am trying to get into too deep? :D
I have a fairly good idea, but I'm just not getting anywhere yet.

I think all ppl who are still trying are in the same position :D
Already have the game so I'm not entirely sure why I'm trying to figure this out... Anyway:
Clue #2: The instructions are part of the code - which are unchanged from the original.
Closest I see to an instruction is "CHNG" which might be "change".
Clue #3: There is a character different from all the rest which not only tells you which direction to go, but also betrays how many wear a mask.
I assume this character has to be a number. So that would be 8, 2, or 4.
Clue #1: Most of the characters are not changed in any way.
That rules out 8 since then half of the characters would be changed.

So I'm seeing "2 change" or "change 4" as the instruction.

I don't understand the "which direction" part of clue #3 though.
Clue #4: Move one class of character to after another class of character and then just.. do the math.
Two classes of characters suggests a letter and a number to me.

Adding letters and numbers sounds like a Caesar cipher.

I'm not sure if "move" describes an actual translation in the code, or is just part of the verbage being used to describe "doing the math."

EDIT:
Now that I've been staring at this too long I'm also seeing "S[2]U[LX]TRC" which by a long stretch of the imagination could be "subtract."

I'm pretty sure I understand clues 1-3 correctly. It's just #4 that's throwing me.

I have the same situation but my answer is simple: I just love coding :)

If you are looking this way, remember that "such style of read" should be also taken in mind when solving second code - I can't see any words in it so I am not so sure if this is right way.

While I love "coding" as in programming, I wouldn't say the same about "coding" as in code breaking. I just have this nagging feeling that I should be able to solve one of these codes that keep showing up...

That's likely a useful insight. Hmmmm....

Also look here:
avatar
Fever_Discordia: Ah yeah, could be - I read what he said as 'The encrypted code somehow includes it's own decoding instrutions' I stared at it until I could kinda see the message 'Exchange for a G' in there but I think I was just losing it...
avatar
xyem: The way you read what I said is correct.
Xyem said: "the way you read", not "what you see" - so that could mean that encrypted code has decoding instructions but it is not exactly these letters...

Well, thats only what I think. But I may be wrong :D

soooooo..... no more ideas? :P
Clue #4: Move one class of character to after another class of character and then just.. do the math.

M74B-525G-V323-JJYP

525-323 or 323-525 maybe. move around and do the math? just dont know where it will fit and with the other code.
also thinking about the double character on both jj and ss. mweh.

lugum: 525-323 or 323-525
In both cases you will get 0 (zero) as middle digit - and I've never seen any gift code with 0 (zero) - it is not allowed I think. :P
