how much of cpu usage is normal at task manager without be worried? i curenttly play fable 3 with all maxed out and my cpu usage is constantlly at 80% while playng,is the game to powerful for my pc? because i hear the box of the pc how works hard, the game works fine though...moves at 60 fps,but the cpu usage is normal?i should quit the game ? so i don t break my pc? i ask in generall when use cpu from what proccent % a guy should worry ?

if the cooling is adequate you are ok, kill temperature for any processor is around 90-110 degrees celsius and most modern motherboards will auto shutdown the system if the processor starts to overheat. Your problem might lie in fable 3 being a console port and relying more on CPU than GPU for rendering, but I might be wrong since I don't own it. Normal cpu cycles when idle should be from 1-3% on any core, most games i play on my quad core either use only one to the max or when optimized for multicore operation they use up tp 40% of all the cores in the tast manager.
Hope this helps

You are right dont doubt yourself. The port is the problem, got the same problem with games that are ported.
Shorter version: even 100% cpu usage is fine :)

yeah, i know that is the case from bfbc2, horrible optimization in that game at launch time just because it was a console port but i didn't want to imply tha to this one since i didn't play it ;)
here some helpfull texts, OP didn't specify which brand he uses but it should be helpfull nevertheless

It's quite common for a game to use 100% cpu. Intel Core i7 has a tempereature cutoff at 95-100C, it' will then begin to reduce the cpu clock. It this doesn't help the computer will simply blackout/shutdown to protect it self from temperature damage.

And by accident i know it works, temps reached 100C then the clockspeed went down.

But it helps cleaning out dust from heatsinks and fans atleast once every year. Even if computers made the last 5 years are protected against high temperatures. As it will reduce noiselevels (higher fan speeds to maintain same level of cooling), and improve performance if the heatsinks are so clogged the cpu tempereature reaches the cutoff.

this! and it won't hurt you to try and install 2 more additional low noise fans, one at the front and one at the back of your case, to make a wind tunnl of sorts which will go through your case and cool all of the components :D
Heh, modern 3D games (from 2004 onward, I'd say) tend to be CPU intensive, so no problem if they drain all of your computer's power. I would rather be worried if the CPU usage spiked during non-gaming computing, :-P
