My computer has been down for the past few months and I don't think I'll be able to fix it anytime soon. Nor do I have easy access to another Windows machine.

I was wondering if someone would be willing to do me a favor with the horror mod "Grey". http://grey-mod.com/ I quite like the music in it (similar to Cry of Fear, another excellent soundtrack), but I lost it when my computer went under. I was wondering if someone would be willing to download the mod, unpackage it/install it, pull out the music files (under "sounds" folder, I believe), and upload them somewhere for me to download.

If the mods aren't comfortable with me asking this, I understand it this thread gets deleted. (Plus the fact that altogether it's probably about 200 megs worth of music, nobody may want to bother uploading it all.) I figured since the mod was free anyway, this wouldn't be troublesome. I would appreciate someone doing this for me, thanks.

As long as the music is all original and not part of Half-Life 2, I don't *think* there might be a problem. I would recommend that you research the music and where it stands from a legal point of view, however.

As far as I know, it's all original stuff, and since it's all available for free as music files, I don't think I'd be "hurting" anyone. Right now it's just a matter of convenience.

I have a dropbox account, I'll just toss the stuff there.

Edit: Gah, it's all WAV files. Funny thing though, you can open the installer with 7zip and grab the music that way.

Wonderful, thanks. I need to start using Dropbox far more; I originally started with Mediafire so it has my weapon of choice for quite some time, but Dropbox is far more convenient.

Oh, I didn't remember it being all WAVs! Sorry.

Is there any reason why the OP wants WAVs? Why not compress it into a popular format before uploading, IE, mp3, flac, etc...?

Ahem, I have a name. ;) Actually, Foxhack, you're welcome to compress them into hi-qual mp3s if you have a convenient way to do so.

... Because that's the format they're in.

I'd much rather use FLAC, but whatever. MP3 it is. :P
