So, I've installed BG 1, BG 2, BG Trilogy, uninstalled BG 1 and now I want to make the trilogy run on my netbook. But I have no external DVD drive, so I just copied the install from my table PC to my netbook with the same install path. It worked for Planescape, Icewind dale, I thought why the hell not... Well, not. When I open BG2.exe, launcher pops up, with only install option highlighted. I have no clue where is actual file to start bg2, nor if it even exists, and I wasn't able to find any registry entry at all. Any help?

File would be BG2main.exe. But I don't know if it would work without registry keys.
For my installation, the BG2 reg entries are these:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\BioWare Corp\Baldur's Gate(TM) II - Shadows of Amn(TM)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\BioWare Corp\Baldur's Gate(TM) II - Throne of Bhaal(TM)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\BioWare Corp.\Baldur's Gate 2

Remove \Wow6432Node if you're on a 32-bit OS.

May I ask where precisely is the file located? I can't find it anywhere in the install directory

My mistake. BGMain.exe and it's in the game directory. Or should be at least.

It lives! The file has an icon of unknown program from win 95 and 98, that's why I've kept missing. I probably just should have searched for all .exes. Well, thanks for help :-)
