GOG.com: Pro Pinball series hi-score contests (3 of them)
For the next week we'll be accepting submissions in the Pro Pinball TimeShock, Pro Pinball Fantastic Journey and Pro Pinball Big Race USA high score competitions! All you have to do to enter -- in addition to buying a copy of one of those games here at GOG.com during this weekend's promo -- is send a screenshot of your highest score (from one or all three parts of the series) to users@gog.com.

Ok, just to be sure, I already bought Timeshock on GOG a while ago. Do I understand correctly that I need to buy another one of the pinball games during the promo to qualify for the contest?
Fun contests, and honestly, the lottery concept is BRILLIANT. Promos already are hard to resist, but throw in a chance for a little bonus and it suddenly seems stupid not to buy something. The mind is a funny thing.
4 contests and a lottery, brilliant indeed. :)
But, GOG should clarify this: Which difficulty setting/config must be used in the three pinball games?

WBGhiro: So until when do we have time to send you our pinball scores?
avatar
Cook: Until next Friday.

You should announce a more specific time. If you announce the winners next friday, it is probably hopeless if one sends screenshots friday evening. ;)
Purchase made. I got Darkstar One.
Last year, xanni was first place in the Fantastic Journey contest with ~4.15 billion points... I wonder how high this year's winning score for FJ will be?

Yeah i agree maybe even an example for a valid screenshot.
I just bought DarkStar One as well.
Considering that participating in this contest requires a lot more time than usual (downloading 4+ GB, installation, playing for several hours and then taking a screenshot and editing it), how about extending the deadline for submission by a week?

Nice idea but the fact that you can modify the game's settings in any way you like (tons of free ball saves) it's utterly pointless.

DrIstvaan: I guess only Grand Champion scores count, meaning it's only standard, 3-ball games. Only the difficulty level can be altered.

It would be rather nice to have official word on this, then. As in, in the original post, or in a reply from a GOGer -- although 10-ball games can be lots of fun, is the object here to see who plays the longest or who gets the highest score in a standard 3-ball game ?

This also true for the DarkStar One contest?
I agree with shatteredstone, it would be nice for the first post to say when the actual deadline is, even if it's "we're not sure yet, let's see how fast entries roll in"
More time would definitely help with the DarkStar One contest. Lack of time is why very few people were able to participate last time. I'm not sure if I'll even be able to get the game installed by the time the contest's over. It's a pretty big file and we have to play quite a bit to get the ship evolved.
But to be fair, it would be good to give the other contests another week as well.
Bought the simulation titles (both Enemy Engaged titles and DarkStar One, even though I already owned Apache vs Hokum).
Not that interested in pinball games, and when I feel like playing one, I already have the one shipped with Windows and the really old Tristan Pinball game for DOS/Dosbox.

yep, example screenshots would be great, along with which difficulty setting is required (3 balls or what).
Many questions appeared during the weekend so let me clarify everything :)
Send in your entries for the pinball hi-scores until Thursday at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
We're extending the DarkStar One "beauty contest" ;) for one week, so you have time until Thursday July 29.
As for the pinball contest, we're looking for the highest score in standard 3-ball games.
Hope that helps and good luck!
EDIT: fixed

Great to see the staff popping in, but...

Do you give a time machine (maybe a DeLorean?) for this purpose? :-)

Hey you said old, what about Pinball Fantasies for the PC from 21st century entertainment? I know this was an Amiga port, but have you been able to make that one work in Dosbox? That one ran smooth as silk on my 80386SX 16MHz. I particularly like Stones-n-bones.
