Definitely. I've had a lot of fun toying around with Construct 2 and seeing what all can be done with it. I've never used a game maker package before, so it was an interesting experience, too.
second game has been submitted...

all the entries are from people who worked the very first time with this tool and the results are really nice...

It is still enough time to get started and finish a funny game (no need to have AAA Graphics *gg*).

I'm having issue animating my player character but I think it's an issue with me not using the program properly. I can set up the animation loop and it looks fine as an asset; however, as soon as it is ran inside the game it clips the tip of the player's boot / gun. Odd. Will be checking the program's help section tonight.

Still having fun and started delving into the "if", "otherwise if" and other logic coding. Makes me remember why I went to school for programming (even though I don't actually work in a job that uses it).

Is the Origin Point #0 located correctly in each single animation frame?

Hmm. I'm not sure. I remember seeing that as a property but wasn't sure how to handle it. (Using Stencyl.) Thanks for the pointer; that will give me some place to start tonight when I get back to it.

Side note:
My original game was going to be a "controlled fall" through a massive game shelf with lots of games on it. After getting started and creating the level, it seemed a little too ambitious for the time I have. The current game concept is easier to make so I feel like I am able to play around with animations and other things.
I am sorry, that I can't help on stencyl, but is the HTML5 Exporter already available? Please note that the Game has to be in HTML5 and not Flash :)
Hmm. I overlooked the fact that Stencyl can't export to HTML5. Oops. Oh well. We'll see if Contruct2 will work with what I'm trying to do. Otherwise, this will end up just being a new hobby instead of a contest entry. :)

If you need any help, let me know :)
I started a project on Construct 2. I am really enjoying it so far. I'm creating my own art and everything which is something I've never tried before.

This is great... looking forward to the the result :)
My character moves, animates, and I have a timer. No sounds. No enemies or obstacles. I think this might be an easy "game" ... :)
I started on level 2 of my "game" last night, exciting stuff :)
Well, it's finished. It's an entry but probably not much compared to the others ... especially if you are starting on a second level. :) Fun stuff. I got a little carried away and stayed up to late on a number of nights. Learned a little about animation, a little about triggers, and had fun!
bump for more entries... there are a lot of prizes to win :)
5 more days to go

The anticipation! I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone created. :)
