This is a cool idea. I won't be able to do anything by the time limit but I certainly do think that this a great way to look at how a game can be made by anyone. We may get new fresh ideas on games we like to play.
Updated the Prizelist and added an announcement, how the prizes are spread over the winners :)
Added the Project File of my Demo game, for everyone to see how easy it is :)

Nice contest, thanks Ubivis. I don't know if I can do anything but I'll try Construct2.

I plan to write something from scratch if I can find the time and inspiration. Maybe next weekend.

Do I need to get get my server up and running, or just add an attachment with the page?

I will host every entry on my own server... all you need to do is upload the zipped project anywhere and tell me where to download :)
bump for the weekend...

I have already seen some demos of the games, that are worked on... really nice so far :)

Prizes are updated again... there will be more and more :)
I've been having great fun with Constructor 2, I feel like I owe Ubivis two gogs just for linking me to it :P

However a quick word of warning for anyone who is in the early stages of building something with it: The free version only allows you to create 100 events per project. That's more than enough for a decent little game with a main character and a few enemy types, but you will run out of events if you start making things too complicated.

I think I'm going to fix this by getting myself the standard edition, but going to keep playing with it for a few days first just to make sure it can do what I want. So far it's been awesome :)
Hmmmm I may try this if I get the chance. If I contribute anything it will be for fun, no prizes for me. Thanks for the contest!
Prizelist updated, there are now 6 prizes available... a good change for every participant :)
How is everyone getting along with this?

My entry will be a small, single level sidecrolling shooter, which I'd say is about 50% done so far. I'm experiencing a few small hitches here and there with implementing mechanics, but I've found the whole thing to be a very enjoyable experience so far :)
And if anyone gets stuck and has a question, feel free to contact me and I will look if I can help :)

There is a possibility, that I am not able to help, I am quite new to this tool too ;)

Planning stages so far. I have a few interesting ideas but am not sure how well they will tie together. It may end up being a random mess of "idea + idea + idea" that doesn't relate but, it's all part of learning, right?

This link is not working for me, but it could be "user error" on my part. (or even blocked by my work)
