slash11: I know around 98% of all people cannot even understand the complex social and economic plan of the jews in the protocols of the learned elders of zion. It is highly complex for most to understand it but it is followed with deadly precision. Once the jews have their one world government and world currency they will call their very master : The ANTICHRIST
spindown: I'm growing frustrated with GOG's no-forum-moderation policy. Evidently you can post overtly racist, antisemitic content on GOG with no consequences whatsoever. This is not the first time that slash11 has done this - he has blamed the Jews for 9/11 and posted links to other antisemitic content before. Some of his posts might be silently deleted by a mod later, but I can almost guarantee that he will not be banned from the forum. If blatant racism doesn't constitute unacceptable behavior, what does?
I was the one pushing him to explicit his worldview as he was only hinting at it. I was not intending to start a flamewar or to antagonise him. Now, if he gets banned or flamed for this, it wouldn't be extremely fair, would it. I would be the one responsible for it, as I was the one encouraging to tell us what his beliefs consisted of, saying that I simply wanted to know and woudn't emit a judgement.
I'm not all keen on free speech in general : as "common sense", demagogy and simplifications are easier to convey and support on most medias than a complex truth that requires time and effort from the public, truth easily loses to populists in most supports of propagation. Still, on this forum, I don't expect neonazi arguments to be taken very seriously and to constitute a danger. At least not for the GOG public as I've learnt to know it.
So, I don't think GOGers, of all people, need to be "protected" from the influence of nazis. And I wouldn't like slash11 to pay for having finally accepted to tell me what his worldview was, and for having trusted my "pacific" curiosity. I do like the no-moderation policy of GOG, because I think these forums and its users don't require it. I'm not making it a general principle, but I do believe that, on this website, the consensus on nazism being bad mmkay is sufficiently established anyway.
This is why I for one don't enter in a worldview debate with slash11, and refrain from all the available easy sarcasms. Some things on GOG go without saying, and I think most people are beyond caring to argue with proponents of hate speech or incoherent historical fantasies. I know some forumers have left GOG because they believe otherwise, and interpreted as complicity the absence of moderation or forumers outrage, but I disagree with that, and I interpret it as a very sympathic form of maturity.
There, my own 2 cents on the GOG forum censorship issue.
