That's me.
How many of you are out there? :P
This is the first generation in console gaming where I've had serious reservations about every system, and no GREAT inclination to get any games on them (that I couldnt get on PC), with the exception of Soul Calibur IV/Virtua Fighter 5, but hey, I can deal with the predecessors (even emulate them, soon -- I paid for 'em before!)
Anyway. Thanks to a friend and work, I seem to have become a bonafide PC gamer without noticing. I had a shitty rig last year -- some lowly single core AMD cpu, integrated NVIDIA graphics (but hey, it played Doom 3 pretty well, the first PC game I really spent time with), 1GB of some pretty slow RAM, flat screen CRT -- but have since upgraded to a real solid one, and will be upgrading further again soon (and buying another load of GOGs).
Just have to say, catching up on all the stuff I've missed over the years (I played a bit of Duke Nukem, Quake, etc. like most in my generation, but nothing serious) with the help of GOG and you guys is really great, and also using my new setup to play the new stuff at great performance is really satisfying. Feels good to be a PC gamer.
Who else has seen the light? ;)

No sir, I play both PC and console games. Anyone who does only one explicitly is one who cannot be considered just a "gamer." but must be defined using a tag prior, as "PC" or "Console"
Truly, I game, I play console games, portable games, table top games, board games, card games, sex games, pc games, and on some occasions, you may even find me playing with my food.

Started out as a console gamer with the Genesis, moved to PSX, then to PS2. Nowadays I go straight PC. I haven't touched a console game in several months, and even then it's usually back to the Genesis. I can't even *play* JRPG's anymore, which is almost sad since I spent so much of my youth and money on them.
Like OP I've been catching up on what I missed during my console phase, starting with early DOS and working my way forward to modern Windows stuff.

Sigh. You seem to be condemning me as an elitist but are coming off as elitist in the process. Maybe I just didnt think my thread title through enough..
Console gaming these days offers many cool things, I just prefer my PC. If money was no object, I'd play just about everything, but as such, I primarily play PC games.
Though, I have a DS, too, which kind of counts.
Also have a Genesis and DC, which I will play once I get some proper games for them. Will be getting an N64 too, and probably PS2 (I owned most of this stuff at one point, but again, money..had to sell.)

I think you're catching on!
There are those consolefags who will never move to the PC, calling it "expensive", "stupid", and "bland". Those people are Halo fans.
Unfortunately most people I know seem to have gone the other way! As for me i've always mostly been a PC Gamer but used to play on my Mega Drive a load back in the day and nowadays I do dabble in the PS3, DS and Wii. But i'd say the PC takes up at least 80% of my gaming.
A lot of people do just dump one for the other exclusively, but it's rare I hear it's console to PC. So, good on ya!

Ahh, that's different, ain't it?
Well I used to be a 50/50 gamer, I swung sharply towards the console when my game PC died and have now swung back to PC's for GOGs when my TV died
I've always been a PC gamer, though I do got a Xbox, NES and a NDS, but I don't use them nearly as much as my PC. I actually think that my Xbox and NDS have been used more by my friends than me.
Almost all games I am interested in are released on the PC or end up being ported to it later, or are so old that I can get them in compilations or via emulation or whatever. I have never had a console of my own and I probably never will. The few console games I'm missing out on that look interesting are not really worth the investment cost of a console.

I am enlightened for my whole life, because I'm a PC gamer since I was 4 or 5 years old :D
Nah, just kidding about that enlightenment.
I play mostly FPS, strategies (both TBS and RTS) and (MMO)RPGs and those are genres where consoles usually suck. I have tried some console games, but none has interested me enough to play it longer.
