Check out what we've got in store for you. Both games will be released on Tuesday, just before the Holidays.
Patrician 3 is an economic simulation, in which you start off as a fledgling trader in one of the cities of the Hanseatic League. Your goal is to turn your meagre business into a financial empire and gain as much power as you possibly can. Choose your path to fame and fortune and keep an eye on your competitors. Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is the second part of Abe's adventures. As if turning Mudokons into snacks wasn't enough, the Glukkons are now making a drink out of their slaves' tears and the bones of their dead. It's once again up to Abe to put and end the Glukkons' twisted "business plan".
I love Patrician 3! It's an awesome game. Incredibly deep and engrossing, with so much freedom. One of my all-time favourites.
But please, consider giving us the original Patrician as well, as it's quite different from the third game and very, very entertaining (esp. in hotseat multiplayer mode with a good friend or two. So much fun)
Yeah, I'd love to see the original. Hope it comes to GOG some time in the future.
Awww, I was crossing my fingers for Feeble Files. Oh well, at least I know it's coming :) And I highly recommend Abe's Exoddus for platform fans! I found it to be both fun and challenging.
Ever since I played The Guild 2 I've been hooked on trading sims but I can never find any good ones, Patrician 3 looks like it should be very entertaining and I'm looking forward to it. One of my Christmas presents this year is 5 games from this site and one of them will be this one for sure.
Not that big of a fan of Oddworld though sadly.
Great!
Will the multiplayerpart work?

Patrician III is a great game and I wish I had never gotten rid of it since I bought the UK version which was better than the US edition.
Port Royale 2 is very similar but with better graphics and a little more forgiving than Patrician III.
I will end up getting both as I too enjoy trading sims.
I hope you have a great Christmas and lots of fun playing the game.
Hmmm... I've been wanting to look into Oddworld. I'm looking forward to having that chance.

Personally, my favorite of the bunch was Stranger's Wrath.
Unfortunately, I believe it was an Xbox 1 exclusive :-(

Maybe it will eventually be released on the Live Marketplace.

Fortunately, those things generally don't last indefinitely, especially with console-to-pc ports when it's not interfering with one console manufacturer's competitive edge that much. I mean, look at MGS2, Psychonauts and Fable. I mean, it took them some time to port them due to, I assume, both the technical difficulties and the competition issues I mentioned, but fortunately the latter is no longer a problem, since SW didn't really work on xbox360 (so I heard), so the only platform that ran it is pretty much obsolete and out of the current market, so here's hoping

What differences were there (censorship or something more)?
Oh and will the download include the map editor as well?

It had a better manual (this means a lot to me), I believe it was in color, and the map was very nice. Game play was the same of course, but UK English and not US English.
I traded it in at GameStop and only got a few bucks for it; my loss for sure.
EDIT:By the way, Patrician III is really more Patrician 2.5 than a Patrician 3. It is the same intro as P2, and it is the same game play as P2. It is a little spruced up in the graphics area over P2 but only slightly.
This is one of the things I really griped about on the ASCARON forums and the designers did indeed state that it is not a completely new game, but the publishers wanted to label it as P3 since people would not buy Patrician 2.5.
Man, I nearly forgot all about this, but was just thinking about it so I thought I would add it in as an EDIT.

I read in a that it's really Patrician 2 Gold as its P2 bumbled with an expansion that was only released separately in germany. Wikipedia seem to confirm this as well.

Patrician 3 is one of the best games I've ever played.
I already own the italian version by FX interactive, very well translated, and this is yet another situation where I wonder how much time will pass to make the introduction of "localisation patches" possible. :-)
