six-: Found this on larians forum, so at least they claim this is gog's screwup.

"-GOG keys will be sorted out tomorrow. I would like to say 2 things about this: up to last week the entire crew at Larian thought we were going to launch with Galaxy support and the only reason you can't redeem your GOG key is that your Steam key is in use. People who didn't use their Steam key can already redeem their GOG key."
Divinity: Original Sin is by gog official statement now going to be released in a few days.

IAmSinistar: Much better. Best of all to have taken this route initially, but when all is said and done, I still prefer a company that changes course over one which is inflexibly committed whether right or wrong.
agreed. but it's not well done. it boggles the mind somebody thought this was ok idea in the first place. at least they listened to customers. plus points but proceed carefully

It's the change in course that is well done, not the initial plan. After building up this game as one of three that justified bringing Regional Pricing, it was an ill-considered move to turn around and delay it for a couple months in order to create a different kind of business synergy (namely with Galaxy). I can understand how this sounded good in an echo chamber, but not in an open auditorium.

IAmSinistar: GOG will continue to provide installers and patches the same way they do now.
Sure they will.

They get my trust on this matter up until such time as they violate it. Here's hoping that doesn't come to pass.
Seeing that I still cannot get my keys from the Larian Vault I start to believe that I won't get my GOG keys before the release on here in a few days. :-(
Please make sure you have read this thread!

Yes, I'm really unhappy with Larian right now. They broke pretty much every promise they made regarding GOG keys for backers, and their communication about the issue is awful.
Maybe this thread should be locked just like that Letter from the M.D. thread was, in order to avoid possible confusion. Just making a suggestion. :P

Seconded. And the post from Judas should be elevated to a proper blue NEWS post in the process.

Agree. The thread needs to be locked now and the other one put on the main gog page as an announcement like Getting back to our roots was.

bernstein82: The problem is probably that gog has nothing new to share... or isn't allowed to share. Ultimately gog has nothing to do with this as the Kickstarter was Larian's responsibility, so is the release on gog. Probably the only thing gog does is packaging it up into an installer, validating that and put it on the shop... i doubt that takes longer than a day. So stop whining about gog and go hit Larian.
Worry not, I've hit Larian plenty - guess what, they also play the silent game after sending me a template email. ಠ_ಠ

At least GOG not only listened, but reacted pretty quickly this time around. ;-)
