The download links point to the wrong URL, the URL's are missing the "file" part, otherwise they are correct.

downlink -> file -> divinity_original_sin -> filename

Apparently I cannot post any links at the moment, so you gotta manually correct the URL's yourself!

Thanks for that! The correct links are:

https://secure.gog.com/downlink/file/divinity_original_sin/en1installer1
https://secure.gog.com/downlink/file/divinity_original_sin/en1installer2
https://secure.gog.com/downlink/file/divinity_original_sin/en1installer3

Matruchus: Not advocating steam but the game is available drm-free there. You can download it there via client and just move the game folders out and start the game like any other game. Larian stated that the game is released drm-free on Steam.

LaithArkham: Can you or someone else offer a link to where this was said?
These developments have had me debating whether I should retain my current KS-backer Steam key, or convert it over to a GOG key. If the Steam version can truly be run independently of the Steam client, then I'd be interested in just keeping the Steam key as-is. But, I certainly wouldn't want to do that if that were not the case.
If anyone could point to a source for this, that'd be great.
This is Larians statement on the Kickstarter page about drm: No. The box version will not have DRM. The http://gog.com/ version and the version of http://larianvault.com/ will not have DRM. The Steam version will not have keys to fill in or forms to fill out.

Glad to hear they're working!

JudasIscariot: Hi,

Have you tried downloading the game with our Downloader?
Won't work on Linux, and I'm a DIY kinda guy, all my +-170 GOG games are manually downloaded, extracted and tidily backuped up on my NAS'es ;-)

The retail CE is still Steamed though?

Look as I said not advocating steam but in this case even boxed version its just used as a downloader and not needed to play single player. Most boxed versions today really just contain the license key for steam and no game data really. There are still some excemptions to that though.

There are a number of 3rd party downloader clients for GOG for Linux you might want to have a look at:

Yeah but you still have to have Steam installed to download and i don't want that useless piece of bloatware on my comp anymore not even for the 20 minutes of DL.

Not so much filesize but functionality, i used it for a few years and it made me jump through so many hoops at points that i hate it with a passion now.

It's pretty personal for me :P.

Thanks for the tip!
I still prefer managing it completely manually, though!
Isn't that big of a hassle either :-)

From what I've heard the option to download manually will stay available also after Galaxy is launched, here is hoping it'll still be like that many years after Galaxy's launch!

The Downloader works but I didn't want to use it on this comp.

Still you should fix the URL asap it does look kinda sloppy :P
