I had the same thing happen to me, only I was clumsy enough to click on Redeem button under STEAM (damn tablets!!!). So now I have one GOG copy and one STEAM copy (lucky me). I already wrote a letter to Larian and asked them to exchange the Steam key with the GOG one and am waiting for a response. On a side note (IMHO): that's exactly why I torrent games - no hassle, no drm and no 2 month wait time (Piracy is bad, mkey).

Phew I was starting to worry that I was the only one who couldnt see the Gog option in the dropdown boxes in the Larian Vault (which was weird since I had Gog chosen as the first of my two duo backer options (which has now become my steam alpha and beta and now full game key)

Do you really think that GOG has that many die-hard fans to survive long-term future with the day 1 release fails like this?
What I usually see from them is "wishlisted, have a huge backlog, waiting for a sale" or "meh, not a classic", while eager to buy customers have to wait, paying more for releases with missing goodies ("where is the soundtrack?"), big wave of potential linux users was let down from very begining, so they don't even bother to look here anymore, kickstarter backers have never gotten their keys on time etc.,etc...
IMHO GOG is not in that position to afford such a behavior... I can't call it "we are getting games in the best possible form" :(

hmm, so the problem is as follows:

1) many KS backers still don't have their GOG keys - this is a problem on Larian's side, and hopefully they're doing their best to make things right, there were MANY backers and if there's a problem on LarianVault (or somewhere else), it could take a while to resolve, so please be patient, KS backers (yeah, smart-ass me, I already have my key...)

2) non-backers can't purchase/play the game on GOG - this is a problem on GOG/Larian side, not sure where it comes from and actually don't understand the reason for it... if there's a fully functional build available to KS backers, why not release it for non-backers as well? there might be two possible reasons - either it's about exclusivity for the backers (but that's not very likely as steam already sells the game to the masses) or there's something special coming with the Galaxy-compatible version of the game that GOG/Larian...

so the decision was made - let's give backers a copy as these people are the most loud and would get REALLY ANGRY if they couldn't play the game they helped fund and were promised a deadline, and let's work on the game some more so we can implement some super-duper-special feature for the rest of the world later... let's just hope the build won't be that different, and the savegames will be compatible with the "official" release in August :)

No idea. On balance i would assume there are more hardcore fans than not (theres a fair few - looking for the cheapest price brigade and handful of Steamfans floating around)

Sounds like a total fail from GOG to not release D:OS for everyone, Galaxy or not.

Not an issue for me as I'm a KS-backer and I'll wait for the Linux version anyway.. but really.

I think most people are just not patient enough these days to wait 2 extra months to play a game they have been waiting for a long time if at the same time the game can be bought & downloaded elsewhere. There are probably a lot of non-backers that have been waiting for this game.

Hey guys, I've been reloading the Larian Vault periodically and it seems that they finally fixed the GOG option for the duo copy. I selected GOG and was able to redeem D:OS on GOG. The early access version still shows the steam key. Give it a shot.

I think this is as much on Larian as on GoG.
Every damn Dev seems to have a hard on for steam and nothing else.

Of course it will mostly fall back on GoG though.

I't really must be like this - aka "they are bitching now, but we are sure they will end up buying it here anyway"...

they could release it today in "as is" state for people to play and then after a while update it with Galaxy support.

but no. They have to get their launch game they could announce on the main page, so the customers may go fuck themselves.

Just like it always was CDP policy on GOG.
