Rincewind81: Sorry, I am reading the opening post in a different way. GOG just says "soon", not "today" or "now" or "in the next hours". Instead they and Larian are linking the release date with the Galaxy Client. Yes it makes no sense at all, but this is the way I read the statement.

rodrolliv: My conclusion is the same.
Yeah, I thought the idea was nuts but, well, GOG has done crazy things before. ;)

So how about an ETA?

G-Doc: Hi folks! We know that many of you are wondering why Divinity: Original Sin isn't yet available on GOG.com and when will it be released here.

Here's the official update from Larian Studios' Kickstarter page:
We’ve been secretly working on supporting GOG Galaxy, the new sexy online multiplayer platform from GOG.com and are happy to announce that full GOG Galaxy integration will be available for Divinity:Original Sin.

Before that happens, our Kickstarter backers who have selected GOG.com as the digital distribution platform, will be able to use Direct IP or LAN options to play in multiplayer. Once GOG Galaxy launches, they will be able to take advantage of all the features this DRM-Free Online Gaming Platform offers.

So, there you have it. Rest assured that Larian's new monumental RPG is coming to GOG.com, and both the developer and ourselves are making sure you'll get it in the best possible form.
This is all well and good but it tells me nothing as to when D:OS will be available for purchase on GOG. Will it be a day from now? A month? A year?
This thread is proof enough that people these days have zero patience.
Slightly off-topic, but does anyone know if Larian is gonna make another Divinity game with gameplay like Divinity 2 ?
Great news, I'm looking forward to checking out the entire series.

AndyBuzz: Guys please... Don't act like tools and jump to baseless conclusions just to have your chance in drama.

AndyBuzz: From the very first post...

edit:
Also *Laters the same day...*
The "New and Coming" section lists the "Witcher 3" under "soon". Just another baseless conclusion about that the game will not be released today or in the next weeks and maybe just appear in the shelf for backers...

Well... If Steam has discount which be finished soon people are interested in loosing opportunity... This is not about patience but about respect to customers and about money...

You left out the "late-August" part, G-Doc. Please tell me it's not coming here late August....

It has nothing to do with zero patience. Just with supply and demand.

Steam was taking preorders and offers Early Acces, the Game was even featured several times in the Summer Sale and is still available with 20% off. GOG will eventually offer the game in August...

This will GOG cost money.

fortune_p_dawg: So, when can we actually purchase and play this? I really, really hope we don't have to wait until the release of Galaxy; that would royally suck.[..]
For me the post seems to mean that D:OS will support GOG Galaxy in the future, but also that doesn't depend on it to be released here.

Guys, just 2 more hours.
There's a missing part , which ihmo explain why it's still not there :

"A word on translations...

Due to the volume of text in the game and some last minute changes, some of our translations arrived later than others. English is, of course, available in a completed form now, and we expect French & German to be in by tomorrow. We'll soon have word on Polish and Russian. "

i think GOG will wait to get the french & german translation before release it, : it's just a supposition, but it seems logical.

But then they go and say they'll be putting it under "coming soon" today. It's release day today, so it shouldn't be under "coming soon". The only thing I can think is that that means they're not releasing it to everybody until Galaxy is done.

Of course, all of this conjecture is unnecessary because someone from GOG should just say in plain terms: "Original Sin will/will not be available for purchase from GOG today. Backers will/will not be able to download Original Sin from GOG today." None of this "we will get it to you in its best form soon" nonsense. That's language from the site closure days.
