I'd love a revamp graphics of X-Wing game. Never liked TF that much, TBH, but XW.....and Dark Forces? pliz?
Next time I visit my Aunt in Marin County, I should nip next door to Lucas' farm, and smack him upside his head to get him moving....lazy-arsed Yanks :-\

Rohan15: Or Jedi Academy 2....=)

*slap*
Though at least it was better than Jedi Outcast.... i guess.
The Force Unleashed was bloody awful so I will be giving this a miss as well.
TFU2 now with a 60gb install
Ouch, no KOTOR 3???

No way! Kyle Katarn's ass is much cuter.

BJWanlund: ... teasing a "big reveal" at the VGAs, getting everyone's hopes sky-high, and then revealing a sequel to a sh*tty Star Wars game??? (and no, Masters of Teras Kasi doesn't count)
Yeah, you can most certainly do much better by your fans, LucasArts.
BJ

I LOVED Masters for its time.

aluinie: I wish they would do a proper knights of the old republic 3 which ties up the first 2 games .

They are, and you get to pay $15 a month for a "persistant world"!

Lofl, there's no way any of those geek-games are getting remakes/sequels anytime soon. Game publishing is increasingly becoming like hollywood:
Mundane Mediocrity for the Mindless Masses.

KOTOR 3 will be out soon, read the above post. It can all be "yours" for the low low recurring price of $5!

Are you on medication? Masters of the Kazi was the worst Star Wars game ever made. It made War Gods look good.

From what I've heard about TFU (having not played it myself), it makes even Yoda Stories and Masters of Teras Kasi look good in comparison.

I only played the mobile version of TFU and even though it was horrible it was not as bad as Masters of the Kazi. It was biblically bad. It had the cheek of being released after Tekken 3 and Soul Edge.
While I strongly agree that TFU was not the best choice to make a sequel - at least for someone who play Star Wars games since long time and played classics such as Dark Forces and Jedi Knight series, X-Wing/TIE fighter series, etc... -
I admit that the teaser trailer is pretty cool. The CG is better than cinematics of the first one. So good in fact that I wonder if it LucasArts's work, it's possible that it has been done by a third company as Blur Studios (the guys behind TOR intro cinematic).

Well, anybody hoping for KOTOR 3, forget it, there was A KOTOR3 in development but it got canceled, becausewe get the MMO The Old Republic, which is KOTOR 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 apparently
As for the sequel to Republic Commando, there was a sequel in the works as well, called The Imperial Commando, but, yes you guessed it, it got canceled.
Dont remember if the games got past the conceptual phase though.
Oh, the above is written in the book Rogue Leaders Story of Lucasarts, good book, could be a bit more detailed imo.
As for TFU2 announcement, I was hoping for a new Kyle Katarn game, but this is good too, at least it is not an MMO or Battlefront, I mean, how many times can you fight in the battle of Yavin anyway.

The Old Republic MMO is not... I repeat NOT... KotOR 3, It takes place hundreds of years after the events of the first KotOR games and has little to do with anything that happened in them. A real KotOR 3 would be a single player RPG that picks up the leftover threads of the previous games' stories and finishes it properly, not some lame cash cow MMO where everyone playing it is a Revan or Exile archetype (i.e. the hero who saves the galaxy).

He was quoting BioWare, they said themselves it is a KotOR sequel, "3 and 4 and 5 and..." is a direct quote.
As for the announcement it was completely expected. Force Unleashed sold bucketloads and Lucasarts is not a charity, they want money, and TFU was the best route to go for that. Still they said a while back they had multiple Star Wars games in development that were unannounced, so this is just one of them. I am betting on a Tie Fighter remake for Steam and XBLA personally.
And man, this industry is just all about the expansion pack "sequels" now-a-days.
