I'm interested in the Collector's Edition but i Would also like some of the content from the GOG version.

Is there a way to get the CE through GOG.com?
No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply
Or can we register the CE to GOG and get the additional Bonuses?
I was wondering this as well.

"Just got a disappointing reply from GOG.com:

They are NOT offering backup copies of the Witcher 3 on GOG.com if you purchase the Collector's Edition.

Heck, they are not even offering the offers of the Digital Edition and the Collector's Edition.

:'(

Call me greedy, but surely forcing people to choose between the Digital Edition and the Collector's Edition is just as bad as forcing people to choose between which retailer to order from?

Either way, my enthusiasm has been severely dampened, particularly since it is highly likely that I will not actually be able to PLAY the Witcher 3 on my PC..."

I'd also like to know this. I didn't have enough money for the collector's edition of Witcher 2 at the time, so I'm really excited that I can get the collector's edition for Witcher 3 :D But the GOG bonuses sound good too so I don't want to miss out on them. But if it's not possible to activate the collector's edition on GOG, I'll probably get the collector's edition anyway and then wait for the GOG version to go on sale.

Edit: I just saw the previous post. Oh well :( I'll wait for more information about the collector's edition and then probably get it.

Guilty as charged, your honour - I contacted the business team of GOG.com directly.

Also, the wording was "as for now", so maybe if we can show a demand for this, it may happen?
I asked the support about this, and here's what I was answered:

We currently cannot comment on whether or not it will be possible to redeem a backup copy of The Witcher 3 on GOG. We may have more information to share towards the end of the preorder.
Just added this to the wishlist: The Witcher 3 Supporter's Edition
Combining would be nice for sure, but my question to them was actually just about being able to download the game from GoG, having bought a CE.

Like I said, the response I got was "As for now we are not going to offer backup version for the Witcher 3 game."
Will definitely buy the collector's edition, regardless if gog gives me an extra digital copy. But I'd much appreciate if that would be provided anyway, even if only with an offer of additional discount.
I also just got the standard "We currently cannot comment on whether or not it will be possible to redeem a backup copy of The Witcher 3 on GOG. We may have more information to share towards the end of the preorder."

I think I will just have to wait until nearer the end of the pre-order before I make a final decision or not.
Is CE NOT available in the U.S.?
It appears only select countries can get it.
