Fastest time is 1:52.74.

For me it's propably impossible to beat. I will be happy if I drop below 156-155. I presume part of track beetwen last checkpoint and finish is where you can gain or lost most time. To bad this last weird chickane is gravel, not tarmac :-).

Yes that chicane is tricky, it's a bit like skating on ice and nailing the first bridge is really important too.
The trick with rallying on tarmac is keeping the revs high through the turns, because it's the only way to get the rear of the car to slide. This slows the car down without having to brake too much meaning you can be more aggresive on the entry to the corner, it also helps bring the front of the car out of the corner earlier allowing you to get on the power sooner.
Aside from that it really is all about commitment; if you get your braking point right and get the rear of the car sliding its amazing how quickly some of the turns can be negotiated.

Do you manually downshift for the turns? I've been trying to do that lately but I haven't quite found my groove yet. Hope to improve my time more tonight but that 1:52:74 is going to be a real tough nut to crack. The tips are appreciated. :)

Yes, I usually dab the brakes and downshift followed immediately by turning hard making sure I have high revs to get the wheels spinning, that swings the rear end round and then it is a simple matter of balancing the brake, throttle and angle of turn to negotiate the rest of the corner. It's all about carrying as much speed through the corner as possible.
Edit: Sorry forgot to mention setup, it is probably a good idea to stiffen your suspension and move the brake bias toward the front for a tarmac stage such as this one. This allows the car to slide a bit more especially at the rear under braking.

Here's my splits, so you can see where I am making up the time.
I'm finding I can be a little quicker in the first and third sectors and can match my time in the last sector, but I really nailed that bridge on the second sector and am struggling to replicate it regularly. The closest I've been to my fastest time since is about two tenths slower, but I reckon if I can get everything perfect I might be able to get into the 1 minute 51s.

Yeah, i'm still having problems with the bridge, i'm sure i could improve a bit if i got it perfect, but when i do, i botch the stage somewhere else up the road :(
I'm still using the default setup, maybe i'll fiddle with it to see if it makes a difference on my times.
Anyway, i'm still almost 2 seconds down, so it will be really hard to match your time :)

Would be nice to have run to with good times on all 3 splits it's hard to achieve. My best on split one was 27,80 and few times abou 27,9x but I can't preserve tempo on ather ones. More then day to try harder... :-)

Let me guess; gearbox on longest ratios and hardening anti-roll bars? There's only things I'm changing.

I don't think so, but then again I wouldn't have thought I could go this quickly a couple of days ago so you never know.
On setup, I hardened the suspension and anti-roll bars, but haven't touched the gear ratios as I don't seem to hit the limiter in 5th gear for any length of time.
