I kinda saw a rather big WTF in the fact that fully functional night vision goggles were including with a effing videogame.

They kind of work, I suppose. Try to use it while playing the game while wearing in game night vision goggles and you will be like, holy shit.
To be honest, I thought that they would cut corners and send me two toilet rolls taped together with some green transparent paper on the ends with "Night Vizin" written in Sharpie on the sides.

I've been lucky enough to use AN/PVS-7 and AN/PVS-14 that the Prestige night vision are based on. Those are $2000-$3000 pieces of hardware. The Prestige NVG's are really a $50 pair of NVG's that you can buy at a toy store. I have them as well since I also got the 360 prestige edition, and while they do work, view is VERY limited distance wise, and it feels more awkward to walk around with them then the real things, probably due to the fact that the real ones have a much larger field of vision.
That being said, anyone trying to use them to commit a crime is an idiot and is going to find out real fast that they aren't all that elite. Your max range is 50 feet. Yeah, you get night vison, but you also get a blazing white light in front of you, similar to what a PEQ-2 does, so anyone else that might have night vision, or even a video camera, is going to spot you REAL quick.

Still its pretty fun thing to have in a collectors edition. I still think the best piece of gubbins given away was the piece of berlin wall in the World in Conflict collectors box. Granted its a piece of concrete but still....
