I know this makes me evil but...
This game is awesome, especially the multiplayer.
It's easy to get into, its fun leveling different aspects of your characters, and (some may not like this) it's very solo friendly. The fact that is has a huge population playing is a big plus too. You also get a diverse skill spread this way.
For instance, I have Unreal 3 but so few play it, seems like only the most dedicated are left. Those guys are so good it is pretty brutal breaking into it. Shattered Horizon suffers from a similar situation I think.
Games like Killing Floor, L4D, etc. I only like playing with friends because of the team work required. This game on the other hand pretty enjoyable without voice chat or teamwork.
Is it worth $60? I dunno, I was given the game as a gift thankfully. I also have never played MW1's multiplayer. I did play the single player game on the 360 and also found it highly enjoyable. I will probably buy MW1 one day because it seems to have more PC centric features.

Cod 4 is mw1, mw2 would actually be the 6th in the series(not including random spinoffs)

"OH MY GOD I HAVE THIS AMAZING KILL STREAK HERE'S A HELICOPTER AND HERE ARE SEVERAL MORE KILLS SO I CAN CONTINUE TO SUMMON HELICOPTERS MUAHAHAHAHA"
Incidentally, here is my MW2 review...
"Dual-wielding shotguns? Guy with knife that can practically teleport to my location in this so-called "Modern" fight? Some cheeky bastard who cocks a grenade, quickly switches to a Javelin, and runs straight at me so he blows me up when I shoot him? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
