It's a long time caramel coloring is known to be 'real' bad. You can easily dig up a website about colorings in general and learn which ones are to be avoided.

It was really hard at first. Funny thing is, occasionally when I am in a restaurant, I order a Coca-Cola. While drinking it I think it is not very good and would rather have a water or an iced tea.
I stopped drinking soda not for the chemicals involved, but because of the amount of sugar. Even the sweet tea I occasionally drink has about half the sugar. And no I would never drink any of that Diet Sugar Cancer Shit. I stopped with the caffeine three or four years ago.

Hah, yeah, I remember that. But I didn't think the formula was the same as Pepsi just minus the coloring. I remember it tasted different (in a bad way). I always thought food coloring was tasteless but it seems caramel coloring isn't if Wikipedia is correct:

I've been drinking on average a litre per week since a few years back as I love the taste of coke and after a while the excessive amount of sugar didn't bother me, it still doesn't (yet I'm quite sensitive to sweet stuff with other drinks or food) but I've been cutting down as I've somewhat lost interest in it, I rarely get it to be in a good state (super cold and with a lot of carbonic acid).

Look, just about anything you can actually eat or drink is harmful in sufficient quantities. And I've never heard anyone actually say that sodas were good for your health.

It's impossible these days not to eat anything that's potentially harmful. The best way to ensure you're as healthy as possible is to have a balanced diet and consume everything in moderation.


Or you can just eat and drink whatever you want and pretty much ignore all the recommendations of the nutritionists, doctors and other specialists.
Realistically speaking, even if you have the worst possible diet, short of actually eating poison, you're only shaving a few years off your lifespan at worst, which you probably gain back by not stressing yourself about food and ignoring all the health nuts out there.
