I made an account once and had enough points to buy some of the cheaper things. Since then I've sold both my DS and Wii so I don't have much use for it. Thanks for reminding me, maybe I can get something cheap and give it to my step-sister.
I got a few nice things from them including a Mario hat, calender, and a set of rainbow styli inside game case.

That isn precisely what I ordered. I got the Animal Crossing case (mainly because I am a massive Animal Crossing fan & it was much more colorful than the blue case).
I use it, but the amount of stars you get per game is so low that it doesn't really make me more likely to get a Nintendo game when I want a new game.

Also, they won't ship physical goodies to Norway, so I only get Wii points. Not that it matters, the only other thing on there I would be interested in is the SNES classical controller - that thing is hawt.
I do have 2000 stars at current, which trades for 500 Wii points, so the question is whether to spend them on a NES game, or wait for another 1200 stars and get a SNES game instead. Decisions... Decisions...

You must get many more stars per game than we get coins per game.

30 for DS Games + 10 for Post Play Survey
50 for Wii Games + 10 for Post Play Survey
30 for 3DS Games + 20 for Post Play Survey
10 for Downloadable Games (Wii & DSi)
160 for Wii, DSi, DSi Xl & 3DS
Here (or rather in the UK) it's:
1000 stars for registering a Wii
500 for DS
3DS doesn't say
100-250 for games, depending on RRP.
Nothing for downloadable games, as far as I'm aware.

Now, if there had been rewards for buying Virtual Console games, I'd be all over that.

Don't forget that you get +10 coins for "Intending to buy" which goes up about 2-4 weeks before a game becomes available.

And you get an additional +10 coins for registering a game within the first month of its release.

End result:

30 for a DS Game + 10 Intend to Buy + 10 Early Adapter + 10 Post Play = 60
50 for a Wii game + 10 Intend to Buy + 10 Early Adapter + 10 Post Play = 80

But I would agree that the Star conversion is a little more generous.

Interesting... I got the blue one cause it was the most "normal" looking haha.
I've used it to register products and get points. Didn't get much out of it other than a pretty cool calender for 2010.
I used it back when the Wii was released to get some free wii points, (I had a lot of gamecube and GBA games as well).

After that I lost interest.

But I have just registered my 3DS stuff on there. Hopefully nintendo will allow some sort of 3DS stuff/points soon which will make it worthwhile.
