I really don't understand this man. (sigh)
It really does suck how any industry that allows used sales seems to vanish due to no one being able to make money.

The video game industry will probably be gone in 5 years.

No it will live on in tablets :P
And Arthur Gies agrees with him, no surprise there. Why are these people still relevant?

And that would be great. No more stupidly big machines and crap. Just get your small tablet device, and connect whatever input devices on it you want. And if you want a bigger display, wire connect it with one, or stream over the Internet or directly to it.

Because unlike some random dude that plays games, these have been in the industry for many years and have the experience that wannabe-relevant folks dream about.

Is Cliff still butt hurt over gears of war getting pirated to hell on PC? I always wanted to try the PC version. Does it still have that save bug problem?

I am sorry, I don't care if I can plug a controller, and I do not want apple to have a monopoly, I just don't like them.
meh, I don't listen to Oprah either. He can try and claim his opinions mean anything... But that is just another opinion. :p

What exactly does the tablet form factor have to do anything with Apple?
Cliffy B has become a corporate shill through and through. Shut up and make games.
I think Apple and Android are pretty much neck and neck. If i recall correctly

I'll disagree about Gies because the guy is a hack and a corporate apologist like the Sim City fiasco proved.
Cliffy has the experience of being in the industry but he still is very wrong about this. Just look at these tweets:

"*Sony* forced Microsoft's hand, not the internet whining."
Yeah, sure it totally has nothing to do with PS4 beating preorder numbers of Xbone across the world. Sony didn't do that, customers and their wallets did that.

"At the end of the day many hardcore dislike what was attempted. You can't do well in that space with many of your core unhappy."
Make up your mind.

"Brace yourselves. More tacked on multiplayer and DLC are coming."
"You're also about to see available microtransactions skyrocket. HATS FOR EVERYONE."
Gee, so we have been living in the future for the past 5 years. And no, Xbone's "sharing" feature wouldn't have made microtransactions go away. Publishers will keep doing what makes them money regardless of used game locking.

"I want *developers* who worked their asses off to see money on every copy of their game that is sold instead of Gamestop. Fuck me, right?"
No, you want *publishers* and MS getting money multiple times for each copy that exists. He is also totally ignoring the fact that people that trade-in their games use some of that money to get new games.

I know you like pretending you are a developer or something but an important lesson to be learned is that the customer matters as well.

People apparently have this misconception that the tablet is something special and not simply just another form factor (like the netbooks, notebooks, desktops, mainframes, headless servers, workstations, whatever) for computing devices.
