I don't see why he would be complaining about Gamestop now since the 24 hour check in was done so disc games could still be traded in. Since it was for "select retailers" only, that meant Gamestop would have had a monopoly on used games.

If Microsoft wanted to do a digital platform they should have made the games one time activation, with no check ins afterward, while enabling digital trading and the family sharing plan to compensate for the games not being resellable.

I don't think that EA, ATVI, Ubisoft or other companies ever asked MS to behave like this - these companies have always shown they have their means to control resales (read: username for the online gaming).

MS isn't protecting developers or publishers, they are only protecting their 16% share for each game sold. And Cliff is just licking their ass.

Yes

Maybe Amazon is bigger, but most of their games are just reselling steam keys.

As a whole Humble Store is fairly big now also, but GOG offers more total games than they do.
