It would be interesting to try and do covers for all the games that GOG has...
Actually if anyone did that it would be epic.
My favorite would have to be the World of Warcraft one...

I reaaaaaally love the Doom reimagined cover because the shotgun IS the holiest of weapons in almost any FPS!

If I randomly saw that cover of Mirror's Edge in a store, I think I would buy it immediately. It looks that good. As it stands now, I'll probably never get around to buying Mirror's Edge.
There was a good Left 4 Dead one, but otherwise I wasn't really crazy about the rest of the covers.
However,I wish some games would make their covers like books (like the Mirror's Edge cover). A lot of game covers simply serve to put the game's name somewhere. They're uninspired, you know?

I really should be doing some real work, but I couldn't resist having a go at this myself. I like these book covers a lot, its a shame no one would ever dare and use such a style as the box art. Then again, it would really stand out if they did.

Take away the branding and it looks like it was painted by either an Italian or Spanish painter....

Well it was influenced by the Greek/Italian painter, Giorgio de Chirico. And most notable by this painting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Nostalgia_of_the_Infinite
Incidentally, the first edition of the novel used the same cover. The later reprint though, uses a different cover which is no where near as good.
