HORZA
I wonder if Powermonger & Hi-Octane will ever get here...
Nice!
Great. Loved this game when it was first released.
Heh, YES!. On my wishlist since release day.

BTW it's the first time I see game's first promo is classic gem promo :-P
The game hasn't aged very well except for its visual style. The user interface is awful, and micromanagement of staff and stocks is unrewarding in the sense that it only makes you avoid bankruptcy instead of yielding nice benefits for doing it well. It's a nice concept, but like most Bullfrog titles, it sounds better than it is.

I was wondering about Theme Park Inc. and Theme Park World too...

Heh apparently there's a management trick of making the snacks almost free but REALLY salty and the drink really expensive - bit of an exploit, really

For what it's worth (not much, maybe), I tweeted Jeff Skalski about that, encouraging him that having the Populous games doesn't mean we shouldn't have Powermonger...

To be fair, as far small-scale managerial simulations go (stuff like Hospitals, Theme Parks) Bullfrog has yet to be outdone well over a decade later. Prison Architect might end up dethroning it though.

Do strategy tips count as spoilers now then? I guess you mean because it kind of breaks the game? Sorry to anyone who feels I've spoiled anything, but I guess its like the Komani Code - just because you know the game takes it, doesn't mean you have to use it...
It's hardly a big secret, given that it's

1) pretty much how real theme parks operate

and

2) explicitly hinted at on the very first page of the manual:
"the food was good but the salty fries soon had us all thirsty so it was out with the wallet again for a few colas and ice creams"
