Clive Barker's Undying, a captivating horror FPS with a dark arcane story penned by one of the masters of terror, is available 60% off today, on GOG.com. That's only $2.39 for the next 24 hours!

There's an ancient realm hidden away from human sight behind the thin veil of what we call reality, and Clive Barker is its dedicated annalist. The outer dimension is much bigger than our own, filled with dark energies and entities, pushing against the curtain, looking for a way in. Sometimes, the veil gives way under the pressure, but it rarely does so without help from our side. Every now and then a human, insane or ignorant enough, will use some strange artifact, carve ancient runes in a doorway, or utter the blasphemous words of a forbidden ritual that was hidden away for ages in some dusty old book. That's how they get through to our side, and they did so from the beginning of time. It's people like Mr. Barker who keep track of the breaches, record the events, and try to bring the truth out in the daylight. In books, movies, graphic novels--the gospel of darkness spreads. This game, just as well, is more than just a work of fiction. It's a warning.

Clive Barker's Undying, delivers one of the most wicked tales of occult terror right onto our computer screens, in the form of a story-driven first-person shooter. With a gallery of memorable characters and locations that will make chill run down your spine, it remains one of the most gripping horror games ever created. The old mansion that you'll be exploring for the better part of the game, is one of the most iconic places in the memories of many gamers, and its ghastly inhabitants surely still haunt their dreams. If you haven't yet experienced this terrifying gem of an FPS, be sure to grab it today.

Never ignore the unseen horror lurking behind the curtain separating us from insanity. Learn as much as you can about the other side in Clive Barker's Undying, for only $2.39 today, on GOG.com! The offer lasts until Tuesday, July 16, at 9:59AM GMT.

Zoidberg: Crap, was this game in promo during the promo? At the same price?

I hope it is because I bought it there, haven't taken the time to play a lot of it but it seems deliciously old school. :D
It was not in a bundle and as regular sale only 50% off, which means 60cents pricier. I know that because I also bought it then ;-) Played it maybe for half an hour so far (I need some time to get into a shooter today but unfortunately didn't had much time yet) . Looks nice so far, but I miss subtitles, though I guess playing it with headphones is recommended, especially for non-native english speakers.

Excelent game, one of the scariest ones I played. Already have a physical copy, but was waiting a nice promo to get a digital backup, now is the time

Fever_Discordia: I just got Jericho from the Steam sale too, I think I'll have to pick this one up though...
avatar
tinyE: How is Jericho?
Sitting on a huge pile of backlogged FPSes at the moment while I work through You Are EMPTY, I'd normally take that as an excuse to have a look at it for you but the gf's up from London this week and I'm off to Ireland next week...

I actually really enjoyed it when it came out. It's a basic shooter but you can switch characters on the fly and they have different strengths (machine gunner, sniper, magic,...). It's not complex though and really gory and has some quicktime events.

OY, good luck. I was just asking out of curiosity; I have a pretty nasty back log myself but enough about my colon, I also have a lot of games waiting to be played. Have fun in Ireland *cue porno music*.

LOL I'm going with Dad - he's showing me the pub he was born in and where he grew up so unless you watch some weird specialist porn with a Foster and Allan soundtrack then not so much, no
Should be nice all the same though!
Great game that holds up better than I expected. If you like shooters get it!
You want Giant Zombie Cat's opinion?
Here it is:

Just for your information guys..but if you are a player from a "non-english" country, this game haven´t any kind of subtitles (even in english).

I remember spanish subtitles in the spanish version and I thought the english game would have at least english subtitles..but nope, there isn´t even the option :\

(Anyway is an awesome game that deserves to be bought).

From a thread in the subforum it seems only 40% of the dialogs have subtitle, but with the editor it would be possible to create subtitles for every dialog. There is an italian patch that has subtitles for every line, maybe there is something similar for english or another language somewhere. On my quicksearch shortly after purchase I found nothing.
Any enthusiast willing to try and sell this game to someone who doesn't even like FPS?

Because, with all due respect to all involved parties, saying that one isn't a serious gamer or "stupid" for not having it their gaming library doesn't really do the trick.

So, Is there anything (what & how) that sets it apart from the usual FPS experience that would appeal/ convince such a gamer?
I just got this one a few weeks ago during the summer sale. If I'd waited, I could have saved that extra 60 cents :)

That 60 cents would have bought you an extra honey mustard packet for your mcnuggets. :P

And if you save 60 cents four times, you get enough for another $2.40 gog.
