A cyberpunk board game experience.

Chaos Overlords, a futuristic cyberpunk game presenting a gang war for power and prestige, with deep and diverse board game mechanics, is available 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $2.39 for the next 24 hours.

The overgrown civilization collapses around you under its own weight. Most people are too scared of what the City might now become. You are not most people. You are one of the few, who see all of the opportunities these dark, yet colorful, times of social unrest present. This is your time. This is your chance to reach for power and grab the City by its throat. With your cunning and charisma you're able to convince some of the street gangs to follow your lead. That's how you become a Chaos Overlord--one of the revered and feared few who see the method to the madness of the humanities grim future. The others, however, won't stand by idly as you cease control. You'll have to take it by force, one City block at a time. So, let's start by arming the Renegade Nuns with ultra-fast SMGs and hitting hard the Bicycle Messengers.

Chaos Overlords delivers complex and diverse board game-like gameplay in the flashy setting of cyberpunk dystopia, taken with a hefty pinch of humor. Every game you play can be different from the last one, as you can choose your own victory conditions, take control of different gangs (there's over 70 to chose from!), and equip different weapons and accessories developed in your research labs. The City, represented by a 8x8 grid, becomes a dynamic battlefield and conquering it will present you with many challenges and force you into some real multi-layered thinking. You know you deserve the power, make sure no one stands in your way!

There's chaos brewing in the city. Make the best of it and grab future by the throat. Get Chaos Overlords for only $2.39 on GOG.com! The promo lasts until Tuesday, August 20, at 9:59AM GMT.

Shameless marketing :D

Any news on issues charging Visa Electron cards, as this is an insta-buy when I get home?
Great game!
Tempting.
I might still have the original boxed version lying around somewhere and I always died after fifteen turns or so.. but it's still such a strange original game for a nice price...
I cant say no when a wishlist game is on sale. Not even when my backlog is bigger than the mount everest :P
I'd recommend the Electron people to ask somebody else for a gift.

Also, I had been waiting for this. I'm guessing this game is as awesome as the premise seems?
one cannot resist such game with such SOUNDTRACK! I bought it only for mp3's :DDDD

PaterAlf: On holiday. And even if I want this game, I won't use my credit card data on the computer I use here. Lots and lots of security updates are missing. Will have to wait for the next sale.

Ah but that's only so you can afford that Mac you are gaming on :P

and all the other junk society has programmed me to believe will increase my happiness if I purchase...
Was considering this one for a while since it showed up. Since it's on sale, I'll nab it.
I'm steeped in old timey gaming goodness atm, but I grabbed this up. I forgot about this one being here even though it was most likely in my wishlist. Thanks for the reminder GOG.

lol, too bad I've invested a skill point on "Resist Charm" just for these situations. Then again, maybe I should have put it on "Resist Sleep" and use the extra hours per night to shrink the damn stupid backlog.

...the fact that the dollar is A LOT higher than it was one year ago also helps me control my buying impulses.

Whenever I look at the screenshots, I think: "I know, there is actually a boardgame with this theme!"

I'll just take this place here to thank mrking58 for sending me a code because of my Visa Electron issue with payments.

The community never ceases to amaze me here even after two years.
Bought it :)
Great game, at such a low price there's no real reason for anyone not to give this one a try (except if someone really hates turn-based strategy), and do not let the dated interface scare you away, the gameplay itself is smooth and polished. Plus the soundtrack is also very good, although for some reason it doesn't play in-game. (Or at least for me.)
