Waking Mars for only $1.99 + Tex Murphy Series, Simon the Sorcerer, and many more 70% off!

Waking Mars, an exploration-focused platformer in which you discover and tend to a robust ecosystem in Martian underground caves, celebrates its second anniversary. To cellebrate it, the game (which comes with the addition of full soundtrack) is available 80% off. That's only $1.99 for the entire week. It’s creators, a small indie team working under the label Tiger Style, were kind enough to answer a few of our questions about inspirations, game design, and the transition from AAA development into core indie scene. You can read the interview in GOG.com Blog.

Now, let's move on to our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/classic_adventures_weekend_promo_280214]Classic Adventure Cruise Weekend Promo with landmark adventure games available whole 70% off. You can stay in the Martian landscape for a little bit longer with Tex Murphy, the fedora-and-trenchcoat PI of the grim future. All of the classic adventure games with that fan-favorite character are available for $2.99 each, except for the first two bundled together for just $1.79. Or, if you prefer fantasy and comedy to Sci-Fi gloom and doom, you can't go wrong with Simon the Sorcerer, Simon the Sorcerer 2, and Simon the Sorcerer 3D This cherished series of adventure classics is known for its tongue-in-cheek humor, devious puzzles, and countless allusions to popular fantasy books, games, and movies. While the first two games use hand-crafted pixel-art graphics and a traditional point-and-click interface with clickable on-screen commands, the third one takes Simon’s misadventures into a 3D environment while retaining all (well, ok: most) of its predecessors’ charm. Put yourself in the pointy shoes of a young apprentice of wizardry for 70% off, this weekend only on GOG.com

That's just a small sample of the adventure lineup in Classic Adventure Cruise Weekend Promo, so make sure you visit the promo page and see what other gems can you get 70% off. The offer lasts until Tuesday, March 4, at 4:59AM GMT. The Waking Mars anniversary special lasts until Friday, March 7, at 10:59AM GMT.

G-Doc: Hi!

Just dropped by to leave this here:

The Week on GOG #4, on GOG.com Official blog (which you totally should follow to make me happy).

It contains the Enigmatic Hint for an upcoming release ;-)

Bye!

benmar: A harvester is harvesting during a harvest ...
Something tells me this isn't the Eye of the beholder hint I was hoping for.
Considering that Night Dive Studios was hinting at the release of Harvester (or another one of the games on this list: http://www.pcgamer.com/gallery/the-weirdest-pc-games-of-all-time/) I think this hint should solidify that we will see Harvester here sometime next week :)
I am sure that hints doesn't mean that one.
But...
Great promo with awesome games.

Fesin: You're bringing the Agriculture Simulator to GOG.com? Finally, I think that's probably one of the most wanted games ever!
It was probably one of the most wanted games ever, even a few days ago! But once again, Humble managed to bring us the cream of the crop before GOG could reap the reward for their hard work in procuring the rights to this farming classic. ;)
Cellebrate?

JudasIscariot: We have stated this a few times:

We plan to bring in fair local pricing in local currencies such as the ones listed in the letter so that people who do not use the dollar and get hit by currency exchange fees can pay in their own currencies and not get hit by exchange fees or any other fees associated with paying in USD while not being in the US. Please do see our responses in the "letter from the M.D." thread by clicking on staff icon that brings up only staff posts.

Sorry for the thread derail, everyone.

Jinxtah: Denmark doesn't use Euro or Pounds or Dollars so we get hit with conversion fees anyway.
However, your conversion rates are off, so there's really nothing fair about them. You can dress it up all you want, but you're still screwing your customers.
I was going to grab a few games from this sale, but I flat out refuse due to this fiasco. Granted losing me as a customer is not a huge deal, as I've only bought ~55 games here, but hopefully I'm not the only one walking away from gog in disgust until you come to your senses.
sorry, maybe i dont understand the matter you are angry about.. what will change? gog doesnt even use danish crowns now, so there is actually conversion (to dollars) too.
when i pay by embossed card from my account (in czech crowns) i have to pay conversion fee now again.. thats not some exotic music of tomorrow

Because they're forcing me to pay in Euros as I live in the EU, and that price is higher than the USD price.

Ok, keep in mind that is like 20 cents higher though, you call that a ripoff?

Back on topic, I bought the second Broken Sword game, are the other two worth it?
It seems they have some mixed reviews...
What about the firs two Tex Murphy?

StingingVelvet: Yay, another $10 worth of adventure games I will never play!
GOG could you please raise the $-prices instead the ones in €? Thanks, that would be great! It seems some Americans have too much of these green printed dead presidents. ;P

Edit: Concerning the Enigmatic Hint ... Harvesters! Stupid Harvesters?? Command & Conquer!! :D Yay! I've solved it! ^^

why you think that actual exchange rate will not be taken into consideration by some script? maybe, it will be live price making here and price in euro propotionally lower than price in dollars..

i live in eu too and poles too.. gog is originally polish project, so why they would to be against own blood?
Sure there are a lot of great games here, don't get me wrong but, I already have bought all but two of them. Uhh, maybe you guys are just forgetting where your priorities should lie and procure more games that are actually good and old, and hard to find, especially in the adventure game department. No offense but I can get all these new games anywhere for a cheaper price nine times out of ten so, why would I ever care about going here for those? That's not why I started buying from here in the first place, and it most certainly isn't now. Nor will it ever be since I'm not utterly paranoid about anything labeled as DRM. No I just want the classic games, thanks.

While loving the thought of what seems to be coming, you summoning up the image of a thousand rounds of cursing at harvesters to hurry the hell up makes me laugh to a probably unhealthy degree.

I'm on board with this plan. The less adventure games I buy the better.

SirPrimalform: Well it says $49.99 for me. And actually, I'm more distressed by the promise to regionally price the whole catalogue by the end of the year and then the lack of response to the obvious objections. Anyway, I shouldn't have brought this to this thread, I was just tempted by a couple of games in the sale and wanted to let GOG know why I was skipping them.

Sorry for the thread derail, everyone.
Your trying to keep us contained in that thread while it is vastly obvious you are screwing us over, while cracking jokes like nothings going on, which is even more infuriating.

"Fair local pricing"

"Sorry for the thread derail everyone"

What a joke, you wouldn't have to worry about non of this if you didn't screw us over in the first place, you brought this upon yourselves.

Because they've already announced it will not be ACTUAL exchange rates. Read the second announcement letter.
Then go do the math on what they say the price conversion will be (or look it up online if you don't know the exchange rates). You'll find it's not exact exchange rates, so "fair regional pricing" is bullshit.
