Hmmm... I'm not sure you do. Stardock has an option to download off their store once you register some of their older games with them, but I don't know that Paradox does too.

the game is avaible digiltaly only through steam

i checked on desura , it's also a steam key

what's the format of the key ?

yeah that matches to a key code for a paradox game :

i checked with sword of the stars 2 ee on steam ; the cd key given (alonside the game) is the same format.

note i don't have a physical copy of sword of the stars ii , so only the OP can explain how to use the code ...

Didn't think there would be so many takers, seeing how the game is dirt cheap these days.

Anyhow, it seems that we've run into a slight problem with getting the game downloaded. The code originally comes from Gamersgate. I figured it was a Steam key as usual, but apparently it is the forum key, which they now seem to be using for some DRM shenanigans. So, the issues is how to provide him with a client I suppose.

Sorry for the trouble this seems to be causing.
