RedRagan: Chevalier experience is very similar with mine (well we're fellow countrymen). I decided to go legit as well but video game pricing made me ended up looking for Steam and GOG discounts often. But I still consider GOG is far superior than other video game online stores out there.

Also I was a "veteran" of video game forum poster and experience the ups and downs of gamers. I left Gamefags in disgust. Lurking in NeoGaf with dread. Saw Kotaku deteriorated into a huge pile of mess and escaped. Then stuck with Polygon and GOG forums because tbh you guys are the best gaming forums out there.

Cheers for you Le Chevalier. I'm in for Journey to the Center of the Earth. Sherlock can wait... like season 3 waiting that is.
Hi, long time no see. Last time I saw you it was last year?
Steam keys are everywhere and very cheap. Unfortunately my internet connection is unstable. If only the offline mode works 100%....nothing beats GOG. :)

Hey, post something today and you'll get your first rep star! (don't get downrepped)
:)
Happy GoGoversary, Sir! You've been doing a fine job with the bumpings of late, and I hope to be able to return the favour in this thread :-)

Please count me in, though I'm strictly not in for myself. Given my finicky luck, though, I don't want to screw anyone's chances by openly backing them, so... yeah, in and we'll see :-)

Oh, and thanks for the GOGs!

Yep, got busy with the Polygon community since the site started. You should try the website and the forum, they are the rare mature and well behaved video game site and community out there.

Then I moved to another city so I got no internet for a couple of months. After all settled I got an Indosat M2 connection. Those jerks charge me Rp 500.000 for unstable 1Mbps each month (Seriously, I got 3 Mbps when I use Kabelvision for less cost).

Steam and PSN are great if you're super patience though. Took me over 24 hours to download DCUO's 20 GB of data and some more hours for 4-5 GB of updates. Take note that was during my 3Mbps era. It took me forever to download World of Tanks with my 1 Mbps connection.

Only those who are serfs, my vassals, squires, etc obliged to address me with "Sir" (psst, it just sounds that I'm that old! I think I'm not). :D

Thanks but apparently you wouldn't need to. I'll be here everyday.
It's okay too if you want the game yourself. :)

I'll check it out someday. I'm pretty busy already with GOG and some other sites I frequent.
I don't have time to read many general discussion topics on here.

I use unstable Speedy IDR 200,000 a month before tax for 384 or 512(?) kbps. For IDR 500,000 before tax you get 1 Mbps. That's just too expensive for me.
I also subscribed to unstable Flash for my phone, IDR 125,000 before tax a month for 3 GB of 3.5G speed. After that you got throttled down to about dial-up speed.
It's frustrating to download in GB size gets broken again and again.

Ah yes Speedy, the bane for a lot of us. The "unnecessary evil." The good news is the govt was already opened the ISP faucet again after an overwhelming large demand of internet service. Right now the best offer came from Kabelvision and MAX3 who ask 300-400.000 for 3 Mbps connection. The bad news is they only cover a very limited area and their infrastructure building is slow. Too slow. I planned to drop M2 when there's a better and cheaper alternative out there.

Regarding mobile phone internet package I think it's ridiculous if they asked 125.000 just for a measly 3 GB quote. You're getting ripped off! I used IM3 and for that amount of money you can get 9 GB quota! (but not unlimited plan though). here's the list of IM3 internet package: Clicky here.
Happy anniversary, le_chevalier!
