As we informed you earlier this week, today we're hosting a live Q&A with CD Projekt RED Senior Producer Tomasz Gop about The Witcher 2. Because the link and the password for the stream has appeared around the web (that's shocking! :)) we decided to let you guys, our beloved community, know how to log in to the stream and join us during the Q&A. The stream begins today at 5:00 p.m. GMT and you can attend it by visiting this link and entering the password: goodoldgames. We'll be revealing some cool stuff and you'll be able to ask your own questions as well, so don't miss it out.

EDITED: 7.20 PM Warsaw time
We've finished the Live Q&A now, guys. Thanks a million for all of you who showed up and asked questions. If you missed your chance at the live version, you can still see the video (and all of the awesome stuff that we talk about in it) by going to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/the-witcher-2-live-q-a and watching the recording.

Remember: if you heard us answer your question on Ustream, please be sure to drop us a note at users@gog.com with your user name, the question we answered, and what game title you'd like to receive from the GOG catalog. Please note this includes current games only, and can't be redeemed for The Witcher 2.

Kiroliegh: I actually got my question answered, but they stopped saying the names at some point. I'm the only one who asked the question, so I hope I get a game.
Gallimatias got swamped with questions, but he kept a record of all of the users, so while he wasn't able to keep sending us the user names when my chat window blew completely, we do have 'em logged. Send in your email and we'll get back to ya.

I did, twice actually. I forgot the game the first time. DURR.
I just got back home.
Lemme say that this Q&A session was intense !
The chat went bonkers when the Q&A started ;)
I was doing whatever I could to keep up with the questions but some of them were just being flooded by f.ex. someone asking will there be any dwarf action ingame :P
I apologize to anyone who feels left out by me not reading his awesome question but this was my first time and we all learned a great deal of things and will try to make it as perfect as possible when the next GOG broadcast will be aired (and it will be sooner than later ;)).

I'm gonna go through the emails on Monday when I'm in the office so that's when people will start getting their games ;)

Cheers and Imma sleep because this was a hard working week ! nn ;P
Aww I will have to wait for Monday? Haha it's fine...

May I suggest next time just let us send an e-mail to a temporary gog.com account so people won't spam the chat with them (not as much) and any duplicate can just be deleted... It'd be more tidy.

Well, now that we know DA2 was crap The Witcher 2 is going to be the sole, decent RPG hitting the shelves this year (at least pre-Christmas, and I'm considering Hunted to be action-rpg). No pressure:)

I HAVE A QUESTION; I WILL PASTE IT EVERY FEW SECONDS UNTIL IT IS ANSWERED.
Even tho I didn't get my question answered, I want to say thank you as a consumer of both GoGs and CDProjekts games, you guys are really attached to the community and that is plain awesome. Congratulations!

This is a good idea. Questions from Twitter could work as well.
With something like this, they would have time to pick out the best questions and then form good answers. Like one of the answers they said "I don't know if Triss has the same voice actress." If they got the questions ahead of time, they could answer them properly.

It was still a very good and interesting show.

Quoted for good point.

If done this way though, it would be nice to have a mix of in-advance and live questions, since replies during the chat might raise new questions. :-)

Oh, and thanks, this was unusually informative for a live chat - GOG and CD Projekt continue to rock!
Could some one please ask about the save game import function, I really would like to know if I can keep the armor and the sword the laddy gives you :)
Very informative and interesting chat, guys. Also I would like to know will the collector's edition come with DRM?

Since the collectors edition (incl geralts head and other stuff) can only be ordered through RETAIL being a physical copy of the game and the ONLY drm-free version of the game is the DIGITAL version on GOG.COM I think your question has been answered.
Which unfortunately means, yes, any retail version (collectors or standard) will come with some kind of DRM. But I don't really know what DRM.
I am pretty sure the retail DRM will be sensible...probably one time activation or a disccheck (personally I would prefer one time activation). I really doubt there will be something bad like Ubisoft's, especially since even Ubi are dropping it now.
i love ze good ol disccheck that you can circumvent yourself with a virtual drive. best solution imo and does not need any internet connection (which I find pretty elitist for a single player game). Well, since I am an absolute gog and Witcher fan I must say I ordered both versions, the GOG one to play and the collectors for my "best of gaming" display case :)
oh my gosh:( i was late :( i am dumb
