htown1980: Is this the kind of game that I will have to play through in one go or does it have a save system or can I quit the game and come back later and start from the beginning of the last level I got up to or something along those lines?
F4LL0UT: I only know how the Amiga version handled this and that one actually had a password system. You'd have to beat a few levels in a row, when you reached the next world or something you received a password which would allow you to start from that world. That one would be generated by the game and also store character information IIRC. I can imagine that they've replaced the passwords with a saving system in this new version (well, it seems to be a new port or something, I've observed a few differences in the video). Assuming that they haven't changed that you still have to beat quite a portion of the game in one session before reaching the next world but you certainly don't have to beat the whole game in one session.
I never beat the game, btw, but it seems to be fairly long for a game of that kind and age and it certainly is pretty darn hard.
Cool, thanks. I remember now that Gods had a similar password system. I didn't get very far in Gods when I was a kid but beat it last year. Maybe with age (and the ability to watch others on youtube) we are better at these kind of games.
I assume that they would have a save system now.
Its going to take a lot of my willpower to not buy this game...
