Preorder CollectorsEdition incoming!

Oh, and yes, I hate preorders in general...
...but it´s somehow different with CDP-games ;)

Skywalkerpl: What next? You're start making preorders as soon as first sketches with an idea of a game are done?
It's called Kickstarter.

Or Indiegogo ;)
More Witcher 3 gameplay.... oooooohh thank you!
Something new coming to the service?..... I'm scare-roused.
"Pre-order details."

Golly gee, I sure am excited by the opportunity to through money at a game half a year before it's released, without reading any reviews, seeing any game-play videos, or in any way being able to judge whether it's worth it!
Will the GOG announcements be first or second? Witcher 3 doesn't really interest me so I don't really want to be waiting around for it to finish.

After Witcher 3 announcement. Its described in the above post. Its too bad they aren't doing a separate stream only for gog.com announcement but its the same company.

Quote: After the Witcher-fest, stay tuned for one more sensational message from GOG.com itself. We've got something new coming to our service later this year and we would like to show you what is it going to be all about. It's going to be an exciting time to be with us, dear GOGgers, and we'll be giving you more than just a sneak-peek during our RED/GOG June 5 livestream!

No, problem.
The hunt is about to begin! Yes!

They need to release a benchmark a couple of months ahead of release so that people can plan accordingly! Ubersampling is very taxing and I want to make sure, first hand, of which hardware components I'm going to need for the invasion.

Elinnea: From the blog:

"After the live-streamed Witcher-fest, stay tuned for one more sensational message from GOG.com itself. We’ve got something new and absolutely game-changing coming to our service later this year and we would like to show you what is it going to be all about. There’s a whole new galaxy of possibilities coming towards you, dear GOGgers, and we’ll be giving you more than just a sneak-peek during our RED/GOG June 5 livestream!"

So GOG.com has finally invented the warp drive! Woo hoo!
"A galaxy of possibilities," eh? That sounds suspiciously familiar... Nice hidden LucasArts tease you sly dogs :D

plan99: No need for a deal with Cloanto, though, since UAE is free - the games, kickstarts roms (Workbench in some cases), etc aren't.
That's why GOG would need a deal with Cloanto. Cloanto owns and licenses the Kickstart ROMs, which emulation doesn't function without. The only way to get emulation to run without Cloanto being involved is if the user copies the Kickstart from their own Amiga (not a viable market option), or by using a free Kickstart-alike. The only one of those I have encountered is the AROS ROM, and it's not ready for prime time.

So Cloanto has to be involved. What's odd is that I have heard time again that Cloanto is actually interested in such a partnership. Either the rumours are wrong or it's complicated by other factors.

Still, one can dream. :)

skimmie: Yeah, they're connecting to Steam :-P
Yeeeehaaaah. They're finally becoming a Steam key reseller like those Humble bootlickers.

On a serious note: well, it won't be a new major publisher on board, it won't really be major "new" (i.e. up to five year old) games, and probably not long awaited old games as well. Yet all that's undoubtedly what we need here in quantity primarily. :( :( :(

But gog has still announced major site overhauls in late 2013, and we haven't seen any of that yet. That could be it and would be well worth the announcement. ;)
AWESOME!
Just one question, please answer this, CD Projekt. Will the Steam version of Witcher 3 come with a free GOG code?
Only asking because I remember that the last two games had a redeemable GOG version on Steam.
