GoG Galaxy was something I was waiting for.

I'm eagerly anticipating on how it will look and handle like.

Finally being able to preorder The Witcher 3 is a nice touch, too :D!

Rinu: GOG part was exciting. I can't wait to see GOG Galaxy! And signed for beta.
Where do we sign for the Beta, I can't find a link

Edit: Don't worry, just found it!

Still no answer yet? If Retail isn´t DRM-free or won´t include a GOG-Key you should announce that right now---> if not, this would grant you more preorders on GOG and less Shitstorm at Release ;)

If there is a GOG-Key inside the CE: SuperHot, this will grant you more CE-Preorders!

Retail is DRM-Free. It doesn't include a GOG code.

Good enough, will buy a CE then--- but maybe I´ll buy an extra copy to gift it to a friend so we could test out that interesting boardgame (Witcher Adventure Game) in the future ;)
Just watched it all, luv you guys from GoG and Red, wanna have ur babies ..... well, maybe not that much, but close.

Love the look of Galaxy, love the W3 Adventure game preview, seriously love the pre-order package!

Most of all, Love your DRM-Free ethics!
Really awesome! GoG gets more and more better than Steam :)
The only thing keeping me from preordering instantly is the missing of information on Linux availability. On the one hand I want to reward the trust that CDProject and GOG have established with me... but then I can't give my reward when they release a Linux Version...
does the collector's edition will get you a gog.com key that you can use immediatly?
and, does it gets the reduction from buying the witcher 1&2?

Ebany: The guy says updates will always be optional, "Updates will never be forced onto you" are the exact words I heard.
The exact exchange was as follows:

Host: "If I want to download patches manually... do it the old way, I can, yes?"

GOG: [spiel about other clients] "...You can even update the game manually by going to GOG..."

Host: "And just downloading the patch?"

GOG: "You log on to your account, and actually it's even more simple; You will get the latest updated version."

That doesn't sound like patches to me. GOG needs to be very careful that they don't end up unwittingly committing the same oversights that steam is guilty of. What steam fails to grasp is that this isn't console gaming - you can't take a 'one size fits all' approach to patching, and assume that the latest version is always best. PC is all about customization, and freedom to install and configure games exactly how you want, including any patch version of the game.

No this is autopatching but this is already normal on gog. They always update game installers to current game versions.

I think your reading too far into the exchange. Exactly what you've written there already happens. In the attachment I've uploaded you can see that they simply replace the old *.exe with a new one, but in some cases they will create a patch instead.

Nothing will change.
