Some people just love the nonsensical? I mean look at all the weird games with beams of light floating in a void and what have you that people gobble up.

Don't judge what you don't get. That's like saying Persona games are about dungeon crawling.

Persona 3 is definitely about dungeon crawling. As in, if you don't like dungeon crawling, good luck liking Persona 3. Yeah, there's a lot to it, but you have to be realistic about how much time is spent dungeon crawling. And, presumably, "puzzling" in Catherine.

Guess that's true but what I meant was, that the games focus was the characters, story, setting and being a japanese student. The dungeon crawl was there to move the story. And BTW, I hate dungeon crawl, but I still love Persona.

And to the guys that are thinking about getting the game but are not quite sure:
Buy it. At least give it a try, if you like it-you will probably like the other\future Atlus games, if you wont, then at least you will experiance something that you haven't before.

Good news: there's going to be a censored version of the box art for some outlets (probably supermarkets).

I don't know how this didn't cross my mind, but I hate dungeon crawling too! My argument is broken! Even if a large percentage of a game is something you hate, doesn't mean you'll hate the game! I guess I have to try Catherine out now.

My dad will think I have a very strange taste in games still. LOL

I also love Persona but this game seems... Boring.

I wasn't impressed all that much by the demo. While half of the demo focused on the main night puzzles (i.e., climbing up to the exit), the rest was spent on the other system in the game despite the demo purposefully not actually telling you what it that system was doing and with it ignoring what you did. Just seems pointless to put that in the demo if you're specifically being blocked from using it or even knowing what it's actually affecting.

I'll wait a few months before deciding whether I'll buy it. It's already dropped from it's 6000 odd yen price to a 4000 one in most of the local stores -- not a good sign here as only games not doing so well drop in price so quickly (such as FF 13 which totally bombed here).

The demo for this is out on XBox Live (and possibly elsewhere) now. This is awesome as I can still cancel my pre-order if it blows. The stuff I've seen make me want it, though. It looks twisted and insane like the Alice games.

Played the demo on my PS3 yesterday. Definitely a WJT.
