I think I buggered up CCC something fierce. I'm not sure what happened, but when attempting to upgrade from 10.4 to 10.7, the installer kept giving me the error "Install Package Failure!". I'm not sure how it failed, exactly, as the drivers are here, installed just where they're supposed to be. It might have something to do with the fact that I ran Phyxion.net Driver Sweeper to wipe all traces of 10.6 so I could revert back to 10.4 because 10.6 had a problem with OpenGL games. But that doesn't make sense because 10.4 re-installed just fine with no problems, and CCC ran OK.
Does anyone know what to do in a situation like this?

Go to add remove programs, remove the latest driver and try it again to see if it installs correctly a second time?
Were you running a beta or modded version? Those tend to be a bit dodgy for upgrading. A reinstall does sound like the best option, I think you can get the CCC as a seperate download

I don't use betas, or mod versions, as I always seem to be "unlucky" with them. Granted, luck has naught to with software, but it's always me they fail on.
You don't have to install the CCC, though. I found it a clunky and thoroughly unnecessary application. Also, especially if it's a laptop ATI card, the third-party Omega Drivers are better than what ATI churns out.
Yes well unfortunately Omega Drivers haven't released anything for Win7 64-bit, or for that matter, anything higher than the Radeon HD 3xxx Series.
Hm. Have you tried just redownloading the installer? Maybe the file got corrupted.
Since you aren't using beta/unofficial drivers, the driver cleaner is a probable source of the problem. You could try updating to 10.6 again and then 10.7.
Driver cleaning is unnecessary and discouraged.
No, redownloading and trying to install again was the last thing I would have thought of.
Look, everything installs fine except for the "Drag 'n Drop Transcoding" thing, and when the installer gets to it, is says "Application Install: install package failure!". Every other component in the Catalyst suite reports as "Success" in the post-install log, including the CCC, even though the CCC won't start when I try to run the executable.
Check with Windows Update to confirm your .NET is up to date as well.

Mmk, and I'll check for an update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redist.
System restore didn't help?
Might also try disabling your firewall during the install

*DESKFACE* It never dawned on me to use it. And I was just cleaning out old system images, even. But yeah, it seems to have worked.
I'm using Drivercleaner
