Well, that sounds ... like a horrible script for an incredibly campy action C-movie that I might still eventually watch due to its connections to an iconic franchise in my favorite hobby. The interesting thing about that quote is that no German would ever say that. It's grammatically correct, but simply nothing we would ever say in this form. And the characters in Castle Wolfenstein can't even pronounce it correctly. ;)

AHAAHAHAHAHA, I was thinking the same thing when I saw "Castle Wolfenstein movie is coming".

They've been planning this for years, but I'm still excited. I was sad for a bit because I was certain that Captain America was going to be the closest we were getting to a Wolfenstein movie (barrin the Sci-Fo original 'SS Doomtrooper,' of course).

I agree. Sounds like it is going to be another one of those boring action movies with everyone dying except the main character because the main character is like Rambo. Then the main character has to face the main super villain. The main character wins and gets the girl. Then the movie ends.

I must admit, i'm pessimistic about this one.

After i saw how far the Doom movie missed the key elemens, and deviated too far from the games that started it all - i fear this movie is in risk of sharing the same fate as many B-movies.

Let's hope that a competent movie director and crew get the job with this production.

I make a point to avoid movies based on video games unless people rave about it (which hasn't occurred yet).

Video games based on movies have fared somewhat better (most still suck, but occasionally, you'll see a good one).

I enjoy playing video games and I enjoy watching movies, but I don't really have a problem with compartmentalizing my hobbies.

I have my doubts it'll ever happen as most video games make for poor source material and/or Hollywood uses them as cheap cash-ins rather than using good, creative talent within a given property.

I'd love to see a well-done Uncharted flick as I really enjoy the modern-day Indiana Jones flair those games have, but it's probably not in the cards; the current project just doesn't seem like anything to get excited about.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World is the best video game-like movie that's actually not based on video games. That's about as good as one could ask for. Edgar Wright did a bang-up job mashing that one together.

I don't care about this movie, and I assume that it's going to be wretched, but I do love "in the vein of Captain America and Inglourious Basterds," since those two movies are pretty much completely dissimilar from each other.

They should make a movie adaptation of Hellboy.

So long as they keep Paul Anderson out of it...
