Can you define what you mean by "cartographer gamers"? Gamers who work as cartographers? Gamers who draw maps of the games they play? Gamers who play a game called "cartographer"?

Edit: Ah, irony. I hadn't seen the other thread.

As long as this exists, name some games you've drawn maps of :-)

No. It's about time GOG was completely segregated. It's a crime that we cartographers have to <urgh> mingle with you common folk.

I think that the industry is against us. We are being attacked on all fronts. Fuck it, I mean, just look at all the modern games, any need to draw maps? Nooooooo, just press M and it's there, all drawn up with handy little dots and crosses, all ready and made, rendered and colored. Where is the joy of cartography? What will happen to my drawing skills?
IMHO, we need a separate site, gog's forums are too restrictive for us

That's because cartography isn't natural. Maps don't grow on trees. You have to cut down the tree, turn it into paper, then draw on the paper.

You have to draw on dead things. It's disgusting.

I'm not a cag and have nothing against them, but I have to admit the closest i've come to drawing maps was playing Myst, on that puzzle where you're on an undeground cart that travels on rails and you have to listen to audio cues in order to guess where you have to go.

I didn't like the experience much.

I try to use only natural made colors and recycled paper, I'm also right handed and love to smell old paper and books so...
