oldschool: Kool, I've only have one question, How are they going to handle the old 3dfx graphics? are they going to incorporate some sort of glide wrapper? thanks for the news, i'm excited.
Gog and Zeus Software (creator of a popular 3dfx wrapper) recently announced their partnership, so I assume they're going to use that. See here.
Ha, I missed that "september" schedule. Well, no bother, I've been meaning to fund this project anyway.
YIPPEE what more can i say.

Or they'll just stick it in DOSBox :)

Psyringe: Meh. The lip-syncing during the song is really bad.

Just kidding. ;) Carmageddon on GOG sounds like a great idea. :) Note, however, that it apparently won't appear until September 2012, according to the description of the video.
It will appear sometime between now and then. We gave ourselves a REALLY LONG delivery window in case we find any bugs we don't know about while we're testing the game. ;)

Well. Carmageddon runs fine on DosBox, but the Splat Pack...

SLP2000: And they already said they will release C:Reincarnation DRM-free, so there's no reason not to release it on GOG.
Wait.. what? When did that happen?

Yay, I can finally pledge!

Yes, but I believe our development wizards have determined a solution to that.

I think. :P

On their kickstarter page.

I guess we're pretty much covered with Moebius, Tex Murphy and now Carmageddon.

I hope GOG will make a deal with Wasteland guys and Double Fine Games.
Maybe they won't sell much copies, but there would be numerous new accounts on GOG.
This is great news!
I hope the crash problems of the first Carmageddon get somehow magically cleared. At least for me it would sometimes just jam during the levels, even in real MS-DOS mode. Quite irritating because the game didn't have in-level saves, which mean having to replay hard levels you were just about to win, after many many retries.

I'm hoping it was just my machine, and it runs peachy in DOSBox.

Oh yeah, don't remember to add the expansion pack! (Splat Pack) (EDIT: Oh yeah, it is included...)

I'm still playing Carmageddon 2 on Win7, been stuck to one mission for ages. It runs fine in Win7/64bit with nGlide wrapper, Direct3D does not work (if you have an USB controller connected, odd bug).

I've been trying out nGlide and it's pretty impressive when it works. I think it would probably work better if I had a faster computer, but even with my AMD 1.6ghz dual core APU, I can run Unreal with nGlide and it's absolutely gorgeous.

I'm really impressed with GOG over this, now if they can only get Conquest up and running here.

JediLoop: soundtrack
I don't even remember what kind of music first Carmageddon had, ie. was it "real music" as in Carmageddon 2, or just some generic game music?

If GOG ever releases Carmageddon 2, I wonder if they are able to include the soundtrack there too, Iron Maiden and all? Maybe they would release it without music, fine by me, I usually switched the music off anyway so that there is no hiccup when it jumps to a new audio CD track. That seemed to happen mostly on my older machine only though, not on Win7 machine.
