JudasIscariot: I see it just fine. Weird that it's locked for you :(

I found an alternate link for you :D

http://www.moddb.com/games/death-rally-1996/downloads/death-rally-windows-full-version
Thanks for the alternative link :)
Wacky Wheels!!! Yes!!! I want this game!!! ^_^

Necrodome! Had some fun with this one back when it was released. ^_^

You could both run around Doom style or jump in your car/tank and rampage through the level.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Necrodome
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/necrodome

Also Shadow Master had a PC release (Which is the version I've played) and it was pretty good.... but that's a bit more tank than it is Car? (So does it count?)

I seem to remember being able to play it in 3rd person, which may be in line with what you're seeking?

Edit:
NM I figured out why the comment was missing. There are two wishes for Wacky Wheels, feel pretty silly for not noticing. XD (One spelled Whacky, the other Wacky)

koima57: Twisted Metal but not on PC... hmm.. Death Track Resurrection and Post Apocalyptic Mayhem are the closer to it.

Edit : Oh, and fantastic Rock 'n Roll Racing.. God, that SNES version I knew is some memory.. :)

SpooferJahk: Twisted Metal 2 did receive a PC port, and the first one was ported to the PC in Japan from what I understand, though that version is incredibly rare and obscure.
Yeah if I remember correctly, the PC version of Twisted Metal 2 was called "Twisted Metal 2: World Tour." There is a wishlist for this game on GOG!

... Hey! My comment is gone? O_o

All I did was quote Wikipedia, why was it removed?:

From Wikipedia:
avatar
SpellSword: . . . During development, he sent out a playable demo that included its source code to Copysoft to canvas interest in funding the project. They rejected it and instead Apogee began funding development. However, just prior to the release of Wacky Wheels, Copysoft released a similar game titled Skunny Kart. Edwardson and Gadalla accused Copysoft of copyright infringement, noting the similarity in the games: however, no legal action was ever taken.[1]

SpellSword: How was it even removed?!
I know that I didn't remove it, wasn't aware of such an option... O_o

Anyway, back to the thread topic. -_^

I've never heard of Shadow Master or Necrodome, but they looked interesting! I've added links to their wishlists. That Shadow Master game looks similar to Battle Engine Aquila.

I forgot all about Battle Engine Aquila! XD
And just learned from Wikipedia that it has a PC version?!? O_O
Rock on! ^_^

Yeah, before I didn't know there was a PC version either. It would be really cool if GOG could get some of these great games!

Exactly!

I agree...
My favourite twisted metal is the 2nd. There's on PC too and it must be on GOG

Twisted Metal 2 did come out in the United States for pc. Spent many late nights playing it LAN with friends. The original Twisted Metal however never got a pc port.
Bit of a stretch (it's rocket bikes, not cars), but I would loooooove to see Rocket Jockey get a re-release here. Grapple-hooking your opponent off his bike, dragging him around the field, and then tying him ball-and-chain style to a landmine is just obscenely good fun.

Wow, that game looks pretty cool! I found this video of some gameplay footage. It looks similar to Jet Moto.

Azilut: Rocket Jockey
Oh! Rocket Jockey! Loved that game! XD

If you're on foot (And most likely running for your life) and one of your opponents is bearing down on you then you can jump at just the right moment and knock him off his rocket, steal the rocket and drag him away with his own ride! Crazy fun! ^_^

I don't think that I've ever encountered another game exactly like it.

Wishbone: The original version of Death Rally. On the other hand, it's free, so go get it right now!
I get a "Page cannot be displayed" message every time I click on the download button.

Use this instead.
Autoduel and Roadwar 2000. Autoduel was a top-down driving game, kinda like the first GTA but much earlier than that title, while Roadwar 2000 was a tactical / strategy title of the turn-based variety.

Edit: when I say kinda like GTA, it's that it was top-down driving combat. The similarities don't extend much beyond that.

Two that pop to mind...

Activision's DeathTrack (hard to find?)
Interstate '76 on GOG
