Capcom has numerous PC titles such as Resident Evil 1 - 3, Dino Crisis 1 & 2, The Mega Man X series and many more. I used to play all of their PC games back in the 90s and thoroughly enjoyed them at that time because I never owned the original Playsation. Recently they released Street Fighter Alpha 2 on Gog which had me thinking about their future intentions. Does anyone have any information on if Capcom plans to release these titles via Gog or any other form of digital distribution at all? I mean there's even a Street Fighter Alpha 1 PC version so as much as I am grateful for the Alpha 2 released here, I found it a bit odd that he second one was put up for sale first.

The deal seems to be with Capcom USA for now. There's this comment by their Senior Vice-President Christian Svensson .

http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/29480001/thank-you-for-joining-gog-capcom&post_num=5#525838157

So that means that we'll probably need to wait for some time before we see anything from Capcom that requires Capcom Japan's permission.

As to why they chose to release SFA 2 over SFA, it's probably because SFA 2 has more content and is the more popular game between the two. Honestly, SFA doesn't have much to offer if you've played SFA 2.
No, no one here knows and I doubt GOG or Capcom can or will say much about the deal. As for SF Alpha/Zero 1 it probably was skipped because of either A. them running into compatibility issues which is possible as it was a win 95/98 title or B. some kind of licencing issue, yeah I know it's Capcom and it should be a give in that they shouldn't have a licensing issue with their own game but often times PC versions were handled by outside parties among other things.

edit: well got ninja'd by a better/actual explanation

Ummm, you do realize that MegaMan X2 was never released on the PC right? That was the reason why until the release of the Megaman X Collection, the only way to play the game was to play the SNES version. (Not to mention the price of the game.)

Megaman Legends 2 was rumored, but I've never seen a copy of the PC version. I'm not even sure if it even existed in the first place.

Megaman The Wily Wars was a Sega Genesis title. (In the US it was a Sega Channel exclusive, where as in the EU it was a cart based title.) No PC version exists.

I'd like these games too, but unless Capcom wants to do some porting, I would not get my hopes up. (And it seems unlikely that they would, given that Megaman seems to be getting the cold shoulder treatment at Capcom.)

Edit:
I'd actually like to see Rockman Strategy, it seems to be a good game. The only downside was the lack of an international release.

Well, I"ll happy to see the original Turok, Resident Evil and DMC games here.....although getting dmc 1 & 2 would be a hard sell by itself

Capcom doesn't own Turok, and only DmC 3 and 4 were released on PC.
A ton of those games will have licensing issues.

I do hope we get more Capcom games. Sadly they will probably judge that by sales of SFA2 and I have no interest in fighting games.
not really a fighting game fan myself also i don't think breath of fire III had a pc port IV did for sure
Amazing that people here still wants capcom to release Resident evil 1, 2, and 3 despite the aged controls which i liked and apperant belief that it was never scary and games like silent hill and amnesia and slender is.
Re 1-3 + Re1 remake. That's all I care about.
I liked the controls of Resident Evil 1,2, and 3 pretty solid and i still jump a little from time to time playing those game especially part 2

Doubt it though instead we are probably going to get the inferior original re1 with the awful yet humorous voice acting :(

My thought exactly. I have the same fear for more modern releases from Ubisoft which we'd probably only get if the GOG versions of Assassin's Creed and HoMM V sold exceptionally well.
I prefer the saturn version of resident evil 1 if its between the psx or saturn
