StingingVelvet: I do hope we get more Capcom games. Sadly they will probably judge that by sales of SFA2 and I have no interest in fighting games.

F4LL0UT: My thought exactly. I have the same fear for more modern releases from Ubisoft which we'd probably only get if the GOG versions of Assassin's Creed and HoMM V sold exceptionally well.
Rainbow Six 3 Complete please GOG.

Elmofongo: Amazing that people here still wants capcom to release Resident evil 1, 2, and 3 despite the aged controls which i liked and apperant belief that it was never scary and games like silent hill and amnesia and slender is.
RE was never scary, it operated on a stress mechanic.

the Zombies function was to constantly press the notion of death into the users mind while having savagely restricted resources made the user think through every action, combined with having cramped environments and drastically altering camera angles from room to room (so that the player can never go on auto pilot and stop directly paying attention), and you get a player so tensed up that they generate their own fear despite the game not being at all scary.

I made the Dreamcast release of RE3 my bitch, god I loved that game .... RE2 was pretty awesome too from how may variations it had for multiple playthroughs, I'd still rather have a PC version of Code Veronica on GOG than either of RE2 or RE3.

Elmofongo: Doubt it though instead we are probably going to get the inferior original re1 with the awful yet humorous voice acting :(
Why? It was made by Capcom, released by Capcom... If we get original RE games, it shouldn't be a problem to acquire the remake too.

edit: oh, I get it now :D It wasn't released on a PC :D

chronox12: Capcom has numerous PC titles such as Resident Evil 1 - 3, Dino Crisis 1 & 2, The Mega Man X series and many more. Recently they released Street Fighter Alpha 2 on Gog which had me thinking about their future intentions. Does anyone have any information on if Capcom plans to release these titles via Gog or any other form of digital distribution at all? I mean there's even a Street Fighter Alpha 1 PC version so as much as I am grateful for the Alpha 2 released here, I found it a bit odd that he second one was put up for sale first.

Nergal01: The deal seems to be with Capcom USA for now. There's this comment by their Senior Vice-President Christian Svensson .

http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/29480001/thank-you-for-joining-gog-capcom&post_num=5#525838157

So that means that we'll probably need to wait for some time before we see anything from Capcom that requires Capcom Japan's permission.

As to why they chose to release SFA 2 over SFA, it's probably because SFA 2 has more content and is the more popular game between the two. Honestly, SFA doesn't have much to offer if you've played SFA 2.
If it's Capcom USA, then one has to wonder about this:

Notice the listing for Capcom USA in the title screenshot, though I realize that the Capcom USA part may have expired or the rights may be more complicated. Still, one can hope.
You can play it with Dolphin if you want

Yeah, and those were DRM free elsewhere already, so not a good test. Release AC2 DRM free and we'll see what happens. I would buy it again to show support.

Thank you, though I can't find a title screenshot of Windows version RE2 and the Capcom USA part is missing from the title screen in the Windows version of RE3:

It wouldn't surprise me, Capcom is rather stupid these days and SFA2 is a poor choice for them to judge by. On the other hand, I don't think Capcom's USA part came to GOG just to release one game.

yeah that would be stupid but knowing capcom who knows what will happen guess we'll just have to wait and see

Barry_Woodward: Vote for Capcom games on the wishlist:
Any reason most of the Mega Man games are titled "Mega Max" in your list?
they killed off mega man and replaced him with mega max

RE doesn't work unless it's campy. RE1's voice acting was PERFECT!
